I asked my religion teacher why the catholic church doesn't want gays to get married and she said that they could not consummate the marriage correctly. She said that the bowels of a man would fall of after he had sex that way. I know it utter bullshit. She then explanied that the catholic church is protecting gays from harm, that if they have sex they will get hurt. Also to get her to stop saying lies I brought up catholic priests raping little boys, she told me not to talk about it then went on to answer another persons question.

Fascist piglets. They take all their views from some "divinely inspired" central church and pope. If the pope has some extra intense connection with god, whose knowledge is supposed to be absolute, how is it possible that different popes have different views on issues? Nonsense. Rather than to take orders from some man, Catholics should think for themselves. Besides, what does keeping marriage illegal have ANYTHING to do with them having sex?! It's not like they're going to stop having sex because they can't get married. I mean, what the FUCK is so wrong with allowing 2 people to have mutual bank accounts and allowing them to visit each other in the hospital. Oh god, society will decay and all hell will break loose! Seriously, 2 gay people with a long and loving relationship can't get married, meanwhile hollywood butchers marry for 2 weeks and move on and do it over and over again. The fact that they have so much money and control most of american society. They could probably make all of their followers do what they wanted to at a whim.

They're a bunch of assholes and so are the people who idolize them. If they could make society do whatever they want, then modern society would be very different. Our government would be completely different, there would still be slaves, woman would still not have rights, etc ...

Thankfully the church only pretends to have lots of control over people, and lots of people only pretend the church has the authority. The church can only make suggestions, it is ultimately up to individuals to decided what to do.

Caring about what they might do, gives them that power of authority. Not giving a fuck gives me the authority.

It is way illogical to try to make sweeping statements about any group. back in the day, I was friends with a a couple of gay guys who were "straighter" than I was--they owned their own house, drove a Lincoln, were monogamous yada yadda yadda--and attended Catholic Church regularly.

Catholic church has to be the greatest hypocritical "way of life" in existance. You can kill, steal, rape, etc but you can always confess to some priest who doesn't give a shit about your problems and be "on your path to heaven". The Vatican are rich old men that think they can be politicians; another useless job.

They do not want gay marriage and are against abortions amongst other things, yet thousands of priests are accused of being sick pedophiles. All in the name of god.
