For me I almost always loved sweet things: chocolate, fudge cakes, crisps, jelly sweets, sweet tea, marshmallow.... you name it. But as I've got older it's all lost its appeal to me. I find I walk into stores and would rather grab a pasta pot than a candy bar. I just love "real" food -- If we can get away with me using that term. Olives, Sour dough, chicken, fish, steak, baked potatoes, pastas etc. They just appeal to me so much more now. I don't know why.
What about you guys?

I prefer tuaca as a liqueur but cheese and chive rolls are awesome?
I don't think they're mutually exclusive.

There's no need to be so diplomatic about it, it's just food.

Actual sustenance > sweets
For the most part anyway.
I don't have any sort of sweet tooth. Not even when I was little. I don't even really like a lot of fruit. In small doses it's fine but I get sick of it quickly.

The best foods have both elements(and others).
When I was small, my tastes leaned heavily towards the sweet side of things; however, as I've grown, my appreciation for savoury flavours has as well.

Much like everyone else here my appreciation for savory foods has grown with me, I find that my sweet tooth is still just as apparent.
One thing I love, is a fusion of sweet and savory. Ham and Maple Syrup, Chocolate covered Bacon.. Popcorn and m&ms.
It may just because because I smoke pot. I don't know.
Rather balanced, especially in the sweet respect. I have a sweet tooth, but if the sweet part is overdone, count me out.
This, of course, eliminates fudge.

Savoury. All the best foods are savoury.
Might be because I never ate many sweets growing up. I don't really eat candy. I'll have a can of pop maybe once a month. Regarding chocolate, I like the very dark stuff. The only exception: a good apple pie/strudel/turnover.
Fruit is a different matter.

I like my food savoury. Sweet ice tea, honey marinades, or sweet fruit like berries picked from a bush are about as sweet as I like it.

I'm definitely a savory food person. I know people who'll eat handfuls upon handfuls of M&Ms, but I can only eat a few before I get sick of them. Then again, I could eat a big bag of chips in one sitting and love every second of it.

Eh. There aren't a lot of things better than some well made deserts.
Ideally though, there's always a balance of flavors in everything.
I like adding brown sugar, molasses, honey, or caramelized onions to a lot of savory dishes because the sweetness adds a nice balance to the dish overall. Same thing goes with adding acidity and tartness to dishes(lemon juice and vinegars are staples in most of my cooking now).

I like stuff that is naturally sweet, like fruit.
Cakes and cookies and whatnot are alright, but not too much or else I wanna puke.
I'm more into savory foods that have an...idk...thicker taste..

Popcorn and icecream.
Depends on my mood. I crave sweets maybe once or twice a week but I would say generally I'm savoury.
Too much sugar = LOSE
I do reward myself with ice cream sometimes. :) Moderation is key and you won't feel too sick.

For me it depends on my mood. If I dont eat sugar the whole day I will feel like shit and will be dying for something sweet. On the other hand alot of times I just want some savour in my mouth!
However one thing I do not like is things that are supposed to be savoury but are sweet, for example BBQ sauce on chicken (sometimes its good but id prefer something like A1)

I'd say the same for me as well, except I wouldn't go so far as eliminating fudge. (well, not completely)
I'd rather not eat than have to eat sweet things. Definitely a savory person.

Both, but maybe more savoury-leaning as i've got older. I still love some good chocolate (<3 Nutella <3) and sweet things like kahlua, sweets and mints, tiramisu, cookies and all sorts of deliciousness.
Salty/spicy/meaty things with a tinge of sweet but generally more savoury joy are the best though, really. Drinks too... I drank loads of fizzy drinks when I was travelling, and nowadays I cba to waste the money on coke etc etc. Fruitjuice is great, but i'll go for tea just as much... beer and red wine are hardly "sweet" and cider is sugar filled, but not that sugary, n those are the essential gluggables for me! :D
