View Full Version : Gun Porn for you: My upgraded Browning
As some of you might remember I recently had my carry BHP Mk. II upgraded to Mk. 3 standard through the adition of big square night stights from Trijicon, enlarged ejection port, and grinding out the projecting barrel bushing of the Mk. II, in adition to the ambidextrous safety and levered slide lock I'd fitted before. I also had it refinished, from my personal attempt at duracoat, to a professionally done matte hot blueing.
Here are the results. Enjoy :D:

Ah, yes, the slide lever is chromed. I thought it was a nice touch.
Hi
Looking good there LavaRed, wish I had one.
How does it shoot, by comparison to your lugers which is the more accurate.
Did my email regarding the uzi attachment get to you.
Thanks man. Your attachment did not get to me. :(. You did try my e-mail adress? Lava_red@live.com?
Anyways, my Browning is more accurate than the Lugers, but that is because I have customized the trigger pull and stuff. Lugers are very very accurate pistols, whenever I attend a pistol shoot, I will always use the Lugers.
Surprisingly the 1916 DWM Luger is a bit more accurate and a bit more reliable than the S/42 1938 one. The former has very shallow rifling (from the factory, not wear), and is externally in worse shape (some pitting, wear, marks from tooling and such); but the latter is made very finely, to extremely tight tolerances, which makes it very finicky and sensitive to dirt, excess oil, ammo, and even temperature.
The grip angle on the Luger is very ergonomic, but it's a gun that requires tender loving care.
In my humble opinion, a Browning HP is just about as indestructible and reliable as a Glock, except with hollowpoints.

I'm not sure the totse email system works. I seem to remember hearing that it doesn't.

The slide release looks a bit iffy but I'm sure its handy. Finish looks good too.

Very nice. Very very nice.
I wanna stick a fat C&S trigger in mine, and maybe a nicely fitted 9mm barrel with leet threadz. I've already got the Trijicons and ambi safety and luverly custom grips :D

That looks fucking sweet, Lava.
Slide release look a bit long for my liking but it if works well, who cares what it looks like :D . Does it get in the way when you flick the saftey off as you're drawing it?
