Your Ultimate Tragedy or
Your Ultimate Triumph,
Which Will It Be for You?
If you are not a true, born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ, this message is especially for you. I hope that you will take time to read all of this and give sincere thought to it. People perish continually due to a lack of knowledge. Don’t allow yourself to be one of them!
I’ll now get right to the main points. Your most extreme experiences will occur after you die. When that time comes for you, your ultimate tragedy would be to descend into the everlasting fire burning hell, a place that God prepared for the devil and his fallen angels (demons). Besides all the unspeakable horrors of an eternal existence in hell in a body that is not consumed by fire, you will be forever mindful that you are there because you foolishly rejected, or simply neglected, or were indifferent toward the personal salvation that God offered you. You would realize that you spurned and rejected God’s great and costly act of love for you. God made a way for you to be saved and become one of his children when He allowed His son Jesus to die on the cross and pay the penalty for your sins. All you had to do was to simply ask Him to come into your life and help change you into the person He wanted you to be. I'll say more about personal salvation below.
On the other hand, your ultimate triumph can be to have God’s angels to escort you into heaven when you die. There you will forever be with the Lord and other saints, redeemed from this sinful world. You will have joy unspeakable and come to understand many things that you didn’t know and wondered about while on earth. You will see things from God’s perspective. You’ll have a new, incorruptible body and be reunited with friends and loved ones who have preceded you to heaven. You might later help to greet those who follow you to heaven. You will walk the streets of gold and dwell in the mansion God has prepared for you. You will experience God’s love like never before and find great joy in giving Him your sincere worship and adoration. Eventually, you will take part in Christ’s 1000-year reign over the earth which will then be like the Garden of Eden, no longer under the curse. You will rule and reign with the Lord. Later you will dwell in the holy city New Jerusalem which will come down onto the new earth. You’ll drink of the river of life that flows from the throne of God. This is just the beginning of eternity with the heavenly Father, Jesus, all His children, and the holy angels. What will eternity be like? We don’t fully know but can only imagine. However, we are told in the Bible that “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (I Cor 2:9). God’s universe with all its planets, stars and galaxies appears to be larger than we can fathom. There are seemingly an infinite number of places to which we could be dispatched for God’s purposes!
So, which will it be for you – your ultimate tragedy or your ultimate triumph? It is only during this life that you can pray for and receive salvation. The Apostle Paul tells us, “... behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (II Cor 6:2b). The Prophet Isaiah tells us, “seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isa 55:6). God is, “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (II Pet 3:9b). He will not force you to come to Him. You must come of your own free will. As a sinner you are not eligible to enter heaven (Rev 21:27). You must be healed of the sin nature that you inherited from Adam and Eve. That is why Jesus said that you must be “born again” (John 3:3). Church membership, baptism, and good deeds have their places but none of them will make you born again.
You might not believe in God and that the Bible is His word. You might not believe that God created all things, or that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If that is the case with you, I urge you to start reading the Bible. Begin with the book of John and continue through the New Testament, and then include Matthew, Mark, and Luke. The Bible is the living word of God and if you are really open and seeking the truth, God will speak to you through His word. Faith to believe comes from reading and meditating on God’s word. Speaking through the prophet Jeremiah, God says to us, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jer 29:13).
You need to be aware that you have spiritual enemies influencing you now. They are Satan (the Devil) and his demonic beings. They hate you because you are created in the image of God (you are a triune, three-part being having spirit, soul, and body). They know that they will eventually be cast into hell; but, in their rebellion against God they want to drag down to hell as many human beings as they can. Satan has many tools of deception, temptation to sin, and discouragement that he uses against people to cause them to not accept the good news of salvation and follow Jesus Christ. Contrasting himself with Satan, Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). All harm and evil in this world are caused by Satan.
Satan and his demons have worked through man to devise a host of different religions - all false – as traps in which to lead people away from God’s truth. However, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Jesus said, also, “... broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat; … and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matt 7:13b;14b).
You might not agree with what I’ve said about there being a hell or even a heaven. You could say that is just my opinion and you and many others have different opinions. Yes, each of us has the right to his/her own opinion but not his/her own truth. Why? Because truth is universal! There is only one body of truth. The body of knowledge we call truth transcends all opinions, all viewpoints, all claims, all cultures, and all other bodies of knowledge. God is the source of all truth and it transcends the claims of all religions and the opinions of each of us.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is described in John 1:14 as being “full of grace and truth” and in verse 17 as the source of “grace and truth”. Remember, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Through the Word of God – the Bible - you can, as Jesus said, “know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). This means freedom from the bondage of a sinful life, and most of all, freedom from the eventual consequence of sin which is eternal separation from God in hell, a person’s ultimate tragedy. The Apostle Paul tells us, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom 6:23).
Your future here on earth and throughout eternity depends on what you do with the truth, i.e. what you do with Jesus. Only through Jesus Christ can you receive the gift of eternal life. In John 3:16 –17 Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” Jesus is ready and waiting to receive you now, to give you a new and abundant life in him. He will not reject anyone who comes to him (John 6:37). Come to him now, just as you are. Other than being willing to give your life to Christ and let him become Lord of your life, there is no preparation you have to make to receive Christ and become one of his children (John 1:12). A simple prayer that you can pray now to receive Christ is as follows.
Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank you for dying on the cross to save me from my sins. I repent and turn away from sin and receive you as my Savior and Lord. I surrender my life to you. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Guide me throughout the rest of my life and help me become the person you want me to be.
Having sincerely prayed this prayer, you can be assured that you are born again (saved) and have eternal life. In John 6:47 Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Start your new life in Christ by reading and studying the Bible (start with the Gospel of John). Also, start fellowshipping with other believers and attend a good Bible believing church. Set aside a period of time each day to pray and read God’s Word. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit. As the Spirit leads you, share your faith with others. Trust the Lord to guide you throughout your life and help you to grow in Him. When you sin (still being mortal, we don’t become perfect after receiving Christ) confess it to the Lord and ask for His forgiveness (I John 1:9). He will not allow you to be tempted above what you can bear (I Cor 10:13).
You will never be more successful in life, with eternity in view, than what you can do and become by following Christ daily as the Lord of your life. In Matthew 16:26 Jesus said, “For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Also, He said in John 10:10b, “I have come that they [us] may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Now you can make the rest of your life and the time of your death your greatest and ultimate triumph, not your ultimate tragedy! Open the door of your life to Christ now by sincerely praying the prayer shown above. In Revelation 3:20 NKJV, Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with me.” This means that through the Holy Spirit He will come into you and you will have ongoing fellowship with Him.

What if I'm a viking. Odin would kick the shit outta Jesus and God at the same time so fuck you and your pussy religion. I suppose all Vikings and everyone else perished because Christianity wasn't around back then in the parts of the world they lived.
I remember saying that to some people on a christianity forum and obviously they couldn't even accept the fact that if their belief system is true then millions of people perish simply because they did not have the opportunity to have came in contact with christianity. They just said some stupid shit like "your not a believer so you cannot see the real truth so I will not waste any more time arguing with you".

Then you spoke to Christians who had not the Word on their tongue. Christ died and spent three days in Sheol so that He may be LORD of the dead as He is of the living. Those who lived before He came were given a chance to be with Christ just as those who lived during, after, and still live today. I won't argue with you, nor even contend with your beliefs; I am burdened with Christ and the Holy Spirit...if you are not, then so be it. God saves and condemns those He pleases, and me, being His child, have no authority with which to question nor condemn His Will. If He calls your name, you will come. If He does not, you will not.

What I did get seemed like the usual extreme Christian dogma of fear and denial.
Fact is, there is NOTHING after life, because LIFE DOES NOT END. Life is eternal--our souls are immortal, invulnerable. When the soul has no further use for the current physical body, it merges with Spirit or reincarnates.

Life is a series of neurochemical and biological processes. Where do you get off thinking there is some magical "soul?" I've never understood this conjecture.

God is love and not willing that any should perish. He will provide for the people who lived before the spread of Christianity (see the above response). As mortals we can not judge God's ways. The scriptures say that His ways are above our ways as high as the heavens are above the earth.

Thing is though, I have read the bible. I've read many different books from many different religions. It's one of my 2 favourite passions/interests [the other being Science, go figure...] I really don't like it when people think that just because I disagree with their opinion I'm not half as educated on the subject as they are.
After all the countless church services I've been to for countless different religions, all the many different bibles/religious texts I have read, I have been able to take all the information I've gathered and form my own opinion. Shocking, I know.
I'm just saying, and I probably should have elaborated in my first reply to you, that I don't think I'll ever understand how someone [or many people, apparently] can dismiss every other belief out there and live their life by a book that in reality has no evidence that such a man/spirit ever existed. Simply saying something doesn't make it so. At this point I'm at a place where I believe that the bible is no more than a story book, or fairy tale, as it were. My own mother tries to take scriptures from the bible and compare them to the happenings of today and tell me, "How can you hear these words and tell me God isn't coming back soon?" The bible, to me, is so general that of course you could compare to daily happenings. It's like a horoscope. It's not specific. It's just a book that, to me, gives people hope that if they abide by the 'rules' written, and ONLY if, they will be blessed and will continue on to a better place.
I would think that an all-loving God who gave us free will wouldn't condemn us for questioning his existence, or even denying it.

People having "out of the body experiences" when they nearly died but came back does not square with your assumption. You might want to read Bill Wiese's book titled "23Minutes in Hell".
Furthermore the Bible tells us it is appointed to man once to die and after that the judgement. Read the Bible with an objective and open mind, asking God to reveal the truth to you (you must be honest, open and humble) and I think you will be surprised. Start with the gospel of John.

Out of body experiences or NDEs are nothing more than DMT trips, just as if they were on mushrooms. After that, they will hallucinate/dream whatever things they would imagine the afterlife consists of. If what you thought were true, then wouldn't Indians, Japanese, and Africans all have similar NDEs as Christians do?? Oh, but they don't. How fucking interesting.
And I have read the bible OBJECTIVELY and OBJECTIVELY, talking snakes and living inside of a whale MAKE NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, IN FACT, IT IS PURE MYTH AND CHILDREN'S STORIES JUST LIKE THE GREEKS, NORSE, PERSIANS, EGYPTIANS, ETC! Please...TELL ME that talking snakes makes sense objectively, please!

I tried to read it, but it was simply more fear-based bullshit.
Hell is not a location--even Pope John Paul II (hardly a radical theologian) acknowledged this--but a state of mind we create when we willfully try to shut ourselves off from God.
This cannot really be done, of course, since the kingdom of God is within us.

You got it all figured out dont ya? You finally understand whats gonna happen for sure when you die! Thank you so much for saving the souls of totse and STFU.
You picked Christianity to come into contact with god and a higher power. And for that i commend you. However to think your the only asshole who is gonna be in bliss once he dies is foolish. Take some time and actually look into other religions. Actually look what they teach, and if your brave enough, look at some other views of hell.
SOmething tells me you havnt done this, or havnt dont it with an open mind because your afraid your god will punish you. Thats all fine and dandy, but let me explain 1 thing to you. You come to this forum preaching damnation, probably feeling full of yourself, when you havnt stopped to consider what other religious nut jobs are saying about you. Guess what buddy, according to Buddhism theres a good chance your going to hell. According to the Muslims, Your going to hell. So why arnt you afraid of their eternal message of suffering?
Dont be a fucknugget. Your not among the few who are going to heaven. There are multiple ways out of earth, and worshiping Jesus is the Christan doctrine for how to do it. I hope someday your enlightened to your ignorance and start preaching what christ would have wanted. Love and respect for all, including forgiveness.
Your so full off bull shit and afraid of eternal hell, that your forgetting what a spiritual path is all about.
I have two major beliefs, Satanism (or as some make me as a luciferian, cause im way different than most satanists) and buddhism. I believe that there are "gods" out there, but not the "God" that everybody permits him to be. I used to be christian, tried understanding the bible, got baptised, yet, it did nothing for me. The entire bible made no sense to me, and i felt like it was a mockery to real religions.
Most christians are nore real christians, especially the people like you, the ones that put other people down because of their belief. Does it not say in the bible "treat others with respect" and "respect they neighbor" ? People like you just show people like me that you dont believe in your own religions book.
I believe in the spirituality aspect of satanism, not the mainstream "oh look at me, im satanist, i'll rebel and hate god". Answer me this, how is any other religion different from yours? You christians are doing the exact same thing other religions are doing, following a "God", and believing in every word that is said. How can you honestly believe the Bible is real? It's been proven that it has been rewritten MULTIPLE times, whos the say it's not fake? And if there really was a God, and he REALLY did write a book, im pretty sure he would tell his followers that people can believe in their own god, without having to pray for redemption, and that there really are other gods.

Agent008, no, that's not exactly what Satanism is, or believes in, there are different people who believe in different forms of Satanism. What you said was in the Satanic Bible, which was made by Anton LaVey, who was proven a fraud, so almost nothing in that book can be taken as the truth, just something he was making up. Athiesm is more of what your thinking about really, the thought of no gods at all being out there.

The Bible has stood the test of time with many prophecies fulfilled. Furthermore, true Christian believers have experienced a spiritual rebirths just as Jesus stated to Nicodemus (John, Chapter 3). As a believer, I have a dynamic spiritual interaction with my Lord through His Holy Spirit; i.e.; "God's Spirit bears witness with my spirit that I am one of His children (Romans 8:16). This makes me know that I know without any doubt that the Bible is true.
The world is headed in the direction for the fulfillment of other Biblical prophecies, including the return of Jesus Christ. I hope you will study the Bible with genuine sincerety so that its words will give you faith to believe and receive Christ as your savior. The Bible tells us that it is appointed to man once to die and after that the judgement.

That is just what Satan wants you and others to believe. He hates you and all other humans because you are created in the image of God. In his rebellion against God he wants to drag as many human beings into hell where he will eventually be forever. Proverbs 16:25 says, "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
Get right with God. You can do it only in this life. After you die it will be forever too late!

Real truth has no room for compromise. It sounds like extreme Christian dogma to those who have been deceived by the forces of darkness. Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.

Thats called Terrorism idiot. Dont try to act all high and mighty on totse cause you read a book and got scared. Ever read a book called 90 min in heaven? You should look into it. Either way your argument is laughable. Im sorry a book scared you so bad. There are lots of other people who have had near death experiances, and they all have a general "Theme". Its not the Christan beliefs that are bull shit. Its his way of presenting them thats utter bull shit. If anything he gives a bad name to the lord and savior of millions.
God wants our relationship with him to be built on trust as much as possible (Jn 20:29) NOT BASED OFF FEAR
Religion is man's attempt to reach God. Christianity is God reaching man. 1 Cor. 1:9 If you used drugs your whole life, killed a bunch of people, and were 80 years old......do ya think you would have the strength to find god? Some people need god to come to them, thats where the idea of Jesus saves, and Christianity come into play.
There is another passage that i caint seem to find, but it basically has god saying he WANTS you to question his existence, because he wants your love for him to be legit. Not because a pastor going through a mid life crises scared the shit out of you
Your Ultimate Tragedy or
Your Ultimate Triumph,
Which Will It Be for You?

OP thinks he is all high and mighty and yet won't recognise he is part of the same compost heap as all of us. Fucking hell Christianity is arrogant; ~2,008/~15,000,000,000 years and it claims it knows all of history.
Fuck off.

Life is a series of neurochemical and biological processes. Where do you get off thinking there is some magical "soul?" I've never understood this conjecture.
You never will so long as you continue to adhere to the superstition of materialism.

I followed your link and found one to a site that totally debunks the "superstition of materialism" as a futile strawman argument. That was enlightening.

Matter of fact, OP, gtfo, your misguided attempts to persuade the people of Totse of your ridiculous claims are not working, obviously. So just do us all a favor, and save us from a headache and leave, and take your bullshit beliefs somewhere else, they're not welcome here.
Wrong... This is a religious forum in case you hadn't noticed, and after a while it gets really annoying to have an entire page of atheists circle-jerking. Just as annoying as a page of theists circle-jerking.
Personally, I appreciate the change.

I tl;dr your original post and skimmed over the rest of the thread, but in the section I did read I noticed many flaws in your thinking.
1) If God is love as you say (which he is, 2 John??) why would he create bodies in which can feel pain yet cannot be killed. Ro. 6:23, Sin = death. After which we are not accountable for sins in which we already died for. Ec 9:5 reinforces that point and tells of the true condition of the dead. Verse 10 shows that there is no wisdom in Hell (or She'ol).
"But wut happens to bad ppl den?!?" - You. Acts 24:15. Resurrection to earthly life for righteous and unrighteous. The wicked are fucked.
2) You mentioned all good people are going to heaven. Who do you think that Jesus and his co-rulers will rule over?
3) You are using a 400 year old bible. Much better (newer) translations are out there. Go look for one. There is a big difference between the Hell in your KJ and the original terms Gehenna, She'ol or Hades. Your bible doesn't show the difference. It also doesn't use Gods Name
