Because you have bad grammar and don't explain things very well. Is it dissolving...like into a liquid? Is it just getting damp? Are you sure its just not absorbing moisture from a inadequately sealed container? How do you know thats what its cut with? Did da boiz in da hood tael u dat, yo?

Well, for starters, there ARE no "types" of benzocaine.

If you'd said "topical anaesthetics" or "local sodium-channel blockers," the question might have made sense. However, it was instead much like someone asking the various types of molecular formula for O2. It's always going to be O2.

From there, the grammar was bad enough that the rest didn't make sense either... but the words "type of benzocaine" pretty much make your post nonsensical starting from the subject line.

Now, benzocaine does not react with cocaine in any way, not unless you heat them to high temperatures.

Second; you don't just look at a substance and determine whether it's benzocaine, unless you tried the substance you still won't be completely sure.


As to answer your question it could be any of the byproducts and shit they use to process it.

Carbonates are strong bases and they might be left over, of course if you snorted it you would know.

Sounds like there's a hygroscopic cut in there? It could be that the cut was a mixture of benzocaine & mannitol or some sort of sugar. I would guess the residue is due to the cuts, lactose doesn't tend to be absorbed very well through the nose.

Anyway, I recommend you search for 'Cocaine Handbook', specifically 'Chapter 7 - Purification' and read up on how to do an acetone wash. You could also try dissolving what you have in a very small amount of water, (~20ml) with a little alcohol (read:vodka) added, filter off any insoluble cuts, and use a miniature mister type bottle to spray it up your nose.
