Holy tits. As low as 10 Euros.

On the West Coast they will fly out of LA and SF. Whats the easiest way to get to SF or LA from Vancouver?

Hitchhike.

Hmm, apparentley Ryan Air is painful to fly for more than an hour. And they charge for every little thing so a 10 dollar ticket may end up costing 200.

Hitchhiking across the border can be a frustration; many hitchhikers are turned away when they reach the border.

Oh right, you'd be crossing national boundaries, huh? :o

In that case I suppose it'd be best to walk out and tell 'em who you are. Why would hitchhikers be turned away?

Just show em your passport and get a visa or w.e.

Otherwise get your driver to drop you 1km away and trek through the bush into america then get picked up again.

Many border guards are unfriendly towards hitchhikers. It's a very simple thing to deny someone access.

One of the best options is to take a bus across the border, hitching a ride before and after the bus ride.

Yeah, Ryan Air is incredibly uncomfortable... great for 1-2 hour continental European flights, but I don't know how fun it would be flying with them for 9 hours. Still, even if it amounted to $200, that's a fucking amazing deal and would certainly be worth the discomfort!

Hopefully Ryanair entering the market will smash the oligopoly of trans-atlantic airlines who over charge and price fix.

It might also pave the way for some other American or European budget airlines to enter the market and compete with Ryanair. As they can't compete on prices, they'll be forced to compete on comfort/reliability .etc

Maybe anyways...
