I didn't say Venezuela was a thriving place. To understand venezuela you have to put it in context. Those other countries that I mentioned, whose history you know absolutely NOTHING about, no doubt, suffered greatly under dictators that imposed TRUE capitalism. The US is socialist compared to what these countries went through: labor unions dissolved, minimum wage repealed, trade restrictions removed, government was severely downsized, 25% in chile's case, medical benefits were stripped, schools were privatized, free healthcare was eliminated, there was no overtime pay required by law or medical leave. This was presided over by Milton Friedman himself and his alumni from the Chicago School of economics. IT was a disaster and not one of these countries began to improve for the majority of the people until they started heading left again. This is FACT. You cannot refute this. You don't know what you're talking about so I suggest you stfu.
