totse where do you want to go next? it can be realistic, or just your pipe dream. just name that one place, or places, that you cant wait to travel to an why? if any one has been to the place of your dreams perhaps they can offer insights into what to do, or other reasons to go there.

i wan to go to Australia next. see the great barrier reef. this is more of a pipe dream than an actual reality since i am still a year an a half away from finishing university, not to mention completely broke.

a more realistic trip is to Yosemite national park. that might actually happen this summer.

so totse, where do you want to go?

Bckpckr i highly recommend you go to Alaska. it just might be one of the pretties places i have ever been. try to get there in late spring if you can.

none other, i also want to go to israel. if you are of the chosen tribe, like me, we can go for free thanks to the birth rite program. look into it mate if you are eligible.

I want to visit the mountains again. I'll be heading up that way next week.

I'd like to visit:

Germany: To visit all my family.
Japan: To visit friends in Niseko and to rip up the pow pow.
Canada: Lots of reasons, mostly Kicking Horse, Sunshine, Whistler and Lake Louise. Oh and French Canada, that'd be awesome.
Nepal: To do a heap of hiking, the culture, volunteer work, and a 28 day snowboarding hike.
Cook Islands: Cheap and paradise.
Palau: So isolated. Canoe around the islands and go spear fishing. Perfection.
USA: Alaska because it's intense, also roadtrip the west coast down into south America and try and head to the ski resorts in Chili.
France: Check out what the FFL is about and get into the whole electro music scene.
Back to New Zealand: To study, but it's just an awesome country all round.
Antarctica: From either NZ or south America, expensive but very very very worth it.
Morocco: I'd love to ride a camel in the desert, or find an oasis.

I could think of HEAPS more regions but not many countries specifically. Riding a dirt bike through Africa, riding a road bike through southeast Asia, etc.

I'd like to hike the AT, south to north, starting in Katahdin, Maine down to Georgia.
Other than that i wouldn't mind going back to Nassau, Bahamas.

Central and Eastern Europe. I should be able to tour Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Poland next spring. I'd also love to go to Scandinavia, not just in the large cities, but far up north. Go hiking and all that, it seems like beautiful country. Russia is also on my to-do list. I've already been to a good amount of Western Europe, but of course there's a lot of ground that still needs to be covered there. Maybe in two or three years I'll do a Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand kind of trip. Also, I'd really love to go to Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and Argentina.

So much to see!

I'm actually not in any way Jewish; I have an uncle who converted and I think he is one step of becoming a Rabbi, and I figure I should visit him at least once. That and I have always respected Israeli history and it's people. It's a pity I'm not Jewish if it would let me get in for free.

Indeed :)

Shit it seems so close already...

Gotta start saving :)

Hoping to do the bibbulmun track(in western australia) in june/july next year. Only 960km, so will be a good test for nepal should i have the funds to go :)(or maybe i just gotta work harder...)

Places i want to go;

Antarctica(Around Mt. Minto, maybe something to do when im much older)
Nepal
Alaska
Chile/Peru
New Zealand
Siberia

Basically anywhere with snow and mountains, since i live in a country that is;

A. flat
B. dry
C. rarely any snow

Ever since i was 8 or 9 ive wanted to go to nepal, as it always looks so good in those travel shows. But experience has taught me it's rarely as you see it, and i want to see it for my self before i get too old and look back and think "maybe i should've done that whilst i still could".

I want to visit Australia and I'm close to being able to do it this winter.
I want to visit the Caribbean and I'm heading down there this winter.
I'd like to visit the UK and I'll be doing so if I don't go to Australia this winter.
I want to check out Thailand, I've heard nothing but good things about it; outside of the taxi services.
I'd like to spend some time in the Maritimes.
I'd like to do some exploring in Europe and spend some time with relatives.

These are the trips that are in my mind at the moment.

^Winter for you is summer for us, so it's a good trade :)

I notice everyone wants to come to aus....

apart from the ridiculously good looking women, the good fishing, the (normally) crystal clear water, clean beaches, cheap alcohol and good exchange rate(if your from the US/UK), theres no reason to come :)

arquin

cheap alcohol

Everything on that list was right except that. We have some of the most expensive alcohol. Especially for premixed drinks. $26 for 6 Jim Beam and Cola cans. $29 for a bottle of Smirnoff. Basically, we've got it shit when it comes to drinks.

And Euda a friend just got back from Thailand and said they'd had a massive overhaul on their taxi systems making Bangkok's taxi system one of the cheapest and most efficient around. Also apparently there's a taxi color coding system, with one of the colors symbolizing "there's a complimentary prostitute with this ride".

Awesome. lol.

Come hang out in Canada, not BC, for the winter and you'll get the idea.

arquin, that's wicked.

$29 for a bottle of smirnoff? fuck....only 2 for $40 here...not sure what i paid for 2 jim beam and cola 440ml cans yesterday, but i bought a 4 pack of smirnoff double black ice with guarana aswell for $46 total....

Premixed is shit. Taxes are making everything fun more expensive, and i cant even have .02 blood alcohol anymore....(.00, they reckon p-platers are dangerous with .02....)

Cheap for anyone comming from uk/us because of the exchange rate. Apparently cruisers are $1.50-$2 in thailand :)

The places I'd like to visit;

1) Back to Germany to visit my birth town (keiserslaughtern), and to visit my moms side of the family.

2) Thailand. To train in Muay Thai even more, and to fight in the Lumpini Stadium (sp)

3) Sri Lanka, do I even need to explain?

4) Austrailia. Would love to go fishing there, and to see the beaches.

5) Mediterranian Sea. Would LOVE to be out in the middle of the ocean and watch the whales. Maybe not...mainly for scuba diving, but Open Water always comes to mind.

6) Alaska. Just Beautiful

7) SPACE.

8) Either Japan for the cities, or for Mt. Fuji

You should look into volunteering on a kibbutz. I'm currently volunteering on Ein Harod it's a really worthwhile experience and Israel is an amazing country. If you don't mind working six days a week you get room and board free and get to meet other volunteers from all over the world.

milwaukee. they have a bar on the roof of a tall building. plus they have train lines that cut through the city at weird angles and make the fifth ward look kind of like philly. i guess the scenery makes me nostalgic so i kind of feel like a kid again when im there.

Right now, being 19 and a student it's not really an option. One day though.

Norway, because I was there for a couple of days this summer and it was awesome, so I want to do it properly.

Mongolia, because it looks fucking amazing, the open spaces and whatnot, and the nomad camel herding people are supposed to be really cool.

Czech Rep, been here before for a couple of weeks but would like to live and work for a few months, because it seems cool, the food is nice and its not too expensive. And they've got a hardcore spastic language, which would be cool.

Peru, cos llamas is WICKED!!!

And Brunei, cos i got a mate from there who lives in a village on stilts and it sounds cool.

Anywhere nice really, I prefer places that aren't too touristy.
