Such as the Jefferson Bible and Stephen Mitchells "the real Jesus" rather than the King James bible version or christianity. Viewing him as you would the buddha or any other wise being, a person in the now with no divine status (other than metaphors) whatsoever. Anyone have anymore info on this... the books i've listed are about all i've read and "A course in miracles" though they seem to be a little too cultish and kooky for my take.

Of course the best would be to meditate on his teachings and find the path by myself but this topic interests me personally and I want to read more and hear opinions.

It is perhaps unfortunate that the many myths about Jesus tend to obscure his message. If everyone practiced "Do unto others as you would have it done unto you" (which wasn't even original with him, anyway, although it is probably the most important thing he said, the world would be healed over night.

For readings, I strongly suggest "The Perennial Philosophy" by Aldous Huxley. More recent stuff would include "Power, Freedom, and Grace" by Deepak Chopra, and "This Season's People" by Stephen Gaskin.
