So i was thinking of getting a 2liter bottle of club soda and making Kool-Aid with it, because i thought carbonated Kool-Aid sounds like a tasty beverage.

Anyone ever tried this, and if so, is it worth it or will i be wasting my time and money???

It's worth a whirl. If the plain club soda doesn't work, you might have better luck with the lightly flavored seltzer waters that you can find in your local mega-mart. Lemon/lime seltzer with Kool-Aid actually sounds quite tasty.

Heh, I just mentioned in one of my posts how Kool-Aid isn't carbonated. Not that you'd care. Anyway, i'd be careful with the ratios because club soda tastes kinda nasty. Do it though. It can't go too bad. You just have to experiment with it a bit.

This.

Remember to kind of keep in mind your mix ratios. That way, if you find something rather tasty, you'll know exactly how to make it, perfect, every time!

I'm pretty sure club soda and Perrier (or however you spell it) are the same things. Either way, I find both of them gross.

Try using 2/3 of club soda and 1/3 of water. It should still have some carbonation and less of that taste. You might need to use a bit more sugar too. Just keep playing around with it assuming you still have some club soda left.

it comes out way too bitter, and more sugar just gave it a weird taste, i dont know, but yeah im gonna keep playing around with it , ill post it, if i ever figure out how to perfect it

i just thought that maybe i could use 7-up or spite to make it.....but i dont know, just an idea im gonna try

If its not clearly labeled "Club Soda", it probably isn't club soda...

Tonic water has quinine, which is very bitter. That would be your problem, though I would think it'd be tastier with tonic than with club soda.

What is tonic water used for anyway?

I mix sprite with Hi-C...tastes all right. I guess that's similar.

Tonic water was originally used because of the quinine, it treats malaria. The british added gin to it to make it more palatable and that's where we get the gin and tonic. It really is great with some lime in it, that's about the only use tonic water has... also it supposedly potentiates opiates if you're into that.

Quinine is very bitter i'm not suprised that kool-aid concoction tasted like shit.

^ Gin and tonic = fucking win!

It's the only other way I'll drink gin, besides, of course, the proper martini.

He must be. I find that Tonic in some sodas works a treat if you find them too sweet.

We've been doing this at my house for years. We're niggers, so naturally.

you gotta use sprite, club soda tastes fucking awful, so does sparkling water, just do it right with some sprite, the green lime koolaid with sprite is superb.

we would always make dewlade in the dorms, basically you just mix your flavor packet of choice with normal mountain dew, not sugar needs to be added :).

You just have to be quick to get the cap back on the two leader as you poor it in, Otherwise you are gonna have everything around you stained with coolade and sticky with mountain dew.

a good flavor to mix is grape.

i find all carbonated water to taste a too salty or bitter to mix with something sweet. though you can possible cut down on that with a bit of sourness

Try it with orange juice.

I might give it a shot. How popular are screwdrivers (vodka + orange juice) in Britain?

So popular if you asked for a screwdriver nobody would know about it. People drink it a fair amount though. I used to have a few before I started my shifts at work.
