I want to move to a different state thats 35 hours away, and that would take $4,000 by movers or by PODS. So I figure it would be cheaper to just sell all of the stuff I don't need and then buy new stuff when I get there.
But is there a place that can hold packages until I get there? I want to ship my expensive LCD tv's since it would only be around $20 to ship, but don't want to ship it to my new residence because the usps guy would leave it right outside the door with a big 'please steal me' sign on it. Is there some way I can get the post office to hold it for me or something?
My car is pretty small so I want to save as much space as possible.
Yes, you can put a "hold" on it.
Have you looked into renting a U-Haul?

Friends? Family?
You can get a U-haul trailer instead of a truck.

I don't have any friends or family:(
Eh, i'll prolly just ship all of the big lightweight stuff and carry the rest in my car.
So I can just call the post office closest to my next residence and ask them to hold it, or will they make me buy a PO box?
But how would I get my car there?
Take the UHAUL to your new location, unload, drive back in the empty truck, drop it off at the place you rented it from, and then take the car back to your new home.

Motherfucker, you need to learn how to drive faster.
Take the UHAUL to your new location, unload, drive back in the empty truck, drop it off at the place you rented it from, and then take the car back to your new home.
Uhaul also offers one way transit, don't know if this costs more or not.

Then how would he get back? Shit, I'd just take a bus.

he leaves it in his destination city where he is living...

But he needs his car!
Oh for fucks sake people... Rent a tow dolly and drag the car behind the Uhaul

or get one of those trailer u hauls from a big hire company.
they will just let you drop it off at the closet location near you instead of going all the way back from where you got it.
which should be within the same city to where your moving,
unless your city isn't that big.
btw, drive carefully.
you don't want to end up like this guy

Also if you're going to be towing the car on any of it's own wheels, make sure to disconnect the driveshaft.
