We'll see how this goes. I really can't imagine it being worse than the last 8 years, not at least because of anything the democrats could do.

more important is the fact that more liberals will also be in the supreme court. the dislike for republicans has run strong enough that everyone simply isn't voting for republicans because of the last 8 years. if anything, republicans fucked themselves.

I cant imagine anything seriously different happening.

We elected the democrats to Congress 2 years ago to impeach Bush and they never did it. =\

i never understood why they did not try an impeach bush.

that being said i have high hopes for our next four years. i understand, as should most that the problems we face today are not the kind of problem that can be solved in 5 months.

i am very hopeful though.

I certainly hope so.

I expect great things from Obama :)

Great for my political views any ways. Not so good for Democrats or Republicans.

I was really looking forward to riots though. Very disappointing.

We'll see how you feel when gas prices hit 6 dollars a gallon because the Dems are taxing the shit out of OPEC. We'll see how you feel when unemployment and inflation is through the roof. Obama's economic policy will not work. We're in for a long period of stagflation under Obama. It's gonna be like the 70's under Carter.

If it's one thing you can count on it's that niggers are not good leaders and the chances that Obama screws the economy are pretty damn good.

OPEC is a foreign cartel. They cannot be taxed by the US government. Regardless, Palin herself taxed Alaskan oil companies and that tax never made its way to the consumer: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aYdZoyTvFrTc&refer=home

I wouldn't have to keep replying to your posts if you weren't such a fucking moron.

Fuck you freeradical, with a Dem Pres and Congress you can pretty well kiss your hate-mongering racist total free-market gay-marriage-hating gun-loving black-hating (did I already say that?) social security hating education voucher giving econ crisis denying ass goodbye.

Does it matter?

It's all on Obama now and given the historical failure of black leaders around the world I doubt he will be much of an exception.

We'll see. Remember, remember the 5th of November.

BTW

1. I'm automatically racist because I hate Obama.
2. I don't monger hate.
3. I love the free-market:D
4. I'm not against gay marriage.
5. I love guns.:D
6. I don't hate blacks, I hate niggers. There's a difference.
7. Social security is a decaying system. People should invest in their own retirement.
8. I'm not against vouchers for education. In fact, I believe the public school system is a failure.
9. I never denied the economy was in crisis. But, liberal economic policies and more government invention will just make it worse. As you will all soon see. Liberal economic policies are flawed. They sound good in theory but in practical application they are not feasible.

I went to sleep with the room almost spinning. It was soooooo relaxing. Its been a long time since I had 8 hours of sleep and actually felt good. Usually I could sleep 12 or more and still feel like shit.

The main problem I see is that he will be given a free ride to do whatever. Nobody will oppose him for fear of being labeled a racist. We have no idea what he actually thinks since he has almost no voting record and what he does have could easily have been fake just to mislead us. I Don't think McCain would have been any better, but at least Congress would not have allowed him to do whatever unless it was actually popular enough with the public.

No the last eight years are a shimmering example of how a democratic congress can run this country. Now, there's nothing stopping them from passing whatever they want. Obama's about to load up the Supreme Court with liberal, left-wing judges. There is no more checks and balances. Agree with me or not, you'll see. Remember, remember the 5th of November.

Except it was Republican controlled until 2006.

Also, Cheney worked really hard to get rid of checks and balances by increasing the strength of the executive branch. He even spoke out against congress in the 80s saying that Reagan should ignore their decision and supply the contras with weapons. In his vice presidency his doctrine was to expand the scope of the president's powers. Barack will enter the presidency with more power than any other president in history, thanks to Bush and Cheney.

Relating to this, I have a question for somebody more knowledgeable than I to answer.

I remember hearing (From a documentary) that a while back, President Bush got together with his friends and signed off on a bill/law thingy that would keep him out of trouble for crimes he or his administration committed during his presidency, including but not limited to war crimes in Iraq such as torture.

Is this true? Did he sign such a document?

This, too.

Bush basically gave himself more and more power because Americans were too scared shitless of terrorists, Illegal immigrants and gay marriage to object.

I'd love it if the first thing Barack did is give the power back to the other branches.

THIS!!!

Obama will not wreck America, and if we come into another great depression it will be because the wheels are already in motion. Do people realize that the president has a team full of advisors around him that are "experts" in their respective fields and they help him make choices. Sure the Democrats will control everything, but it is only because the people realize that nothing has been accomplished in the past 8 years and we are worse than we began. The American people voted out many Republicans because they did a shitty job and that is the bottom line.

I hope that our government can clean up some of the mess it made, and unlike many I would have hoped that McCain also would have improved things over Bush.

Blame Bush, his cronies, and every right wing fucktard who supported them.

Americans felt we had to make a hard left, to get back to center after 8 years of...

...I am the decider, go fuck yourself...

November 4th Americans had to teach this fuckhead, and his fuckhead neo-con party, who the real deciders are.

Democrats succeeded, only b/c he was such a failure. The Democratic party should issue a letter of thanks, direct to Dubya, and sincerely thank him for handing America to them on a silver platter forged of his incompetence.

The Republicans had congress for the majority of the last 8 years.

There are less checks and balances because Bush took them away. You wouldn't be complaining about this is McCain had won, but now that it's not to your advantage, it's not fair anymore.

Basically, the worst possible scenario (for you guys) is that Republicans and Conservatives will feel as violated and fucked as the Democrats and Liberals have for the past 8 years.

Chances are, Obama will be governing from the center, taking both viewpoints into consideration.
