Im thinking about going and I heard it'sa beutiful place.
Anyone here have any personal expiriences with Ireland or know of anyones elses expiriences?
Depends on what you're looking for.
Ireland can be very picturesque but has been seriously ass raped for the past 20 years.
If you're looking for drinking and a 24/7 party atmosphere go to Galway, get drunk; head up to Achill island or to Inis Bofin and get drunk there too and enjoy the scenery.
The only thing that can be big problem is the weather but if you can handle rain and windy, cold, damp weather then it'll be alright- drinking helps.
The best times to come are Spring or Autumn, winter can have some spells of nice weather but can get pretty shitty too. The weather is quite pleasant at the moment and it's very leafy everywhere, so it'd probably be a good time to visit and get liquored up to wander round picturesque places.

I've been to Ireland three times. It's a beautiful place with great people and shitty weather. I'm going to keep this short but I basically highly recommend it. It's been a blast every time.
Make sure to visit the Cliffs of Moher.
Visit the St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin, home of Guinness.
Also check out the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork.
Jameson is distilled there, as are a few other famous Irish whiskey brands.
Have a drink in every pub you come across. Be sure to mingle with the locals.
Be sure to develop an appreciation for traditional Irish song and dance. It's quite good.
Ireland is pretty nice, the guy above me is right about Galway, its a good place to get drunk.
One of my favorite spots is a small surfing town on the atlantic coast, probably on a more southern area of Ireland, I can't exactly remember the name of it, maybe ballybunnion.
Definitely check out the cliffs of Moher.
Dublin is over rated, but theres bars everywhere... absaloutly everywhere, and theres also a 100ft (or something) tall needle... atleast i think its a needle, its just a big pointy thing in the middle of some street which as far as i know is (ironically) pointless.
Id recommend belfast though, and tourists seem to love bangor aswell. As for the stereotypically irish places full of nice scenery i dont really know.
