Yup, I just went up the curb in front of my friends driveway....... and it just fell off lol :-/. It looks like the pipe from the engine just rusted/broke clean off from the back of it. Would all I need to do is just weld it back on? Any guesses on how much it would cost to get fixed at a garage?

Where did it break off? If it's after the exhaust manifold, you should be able to just weld it back together. If the manifold itself broke, you need a new manifold and it will bolt to the exhaust pipe.

Sorry I'm a bit of a noob in this area. If by manifold you mean the big cylindric thing, lol, right at the back of it i believe. I havent been able to take it completely off, so i suppose it could be slightly inside, but it looks like it just broke straight off the back.

Just buy a new muffler and some fresh exhaust pipe to replace the rusty shit. Shouldn't cost more than $30.

Fuck it. You don't need that shit mang, just run it ghetto spec - prolly sounds like you got an engine upgrade in the bargain as well eh?

Yea, you're going to need a new muffler. You can probably get it welded, but it's just going to fall right back off sooner or later. It's just easier in the long run to get a new one.

Yeah, if you've got some spanners it shouldn't be too hard to replace yourself either. Just make sure the car is properly secured before you start crawling underneath it (or park it halfway up a high curb for extra ghetto points)

If anyone's wondering why stock silencers flow so badly, that photo reveals all.

That's pretty safe though. If you have somwhere like that to work like a quiet cul de sac it would be sweet.

Or you could just make some ramps up. It only takes like a day to do that shit.

you can indeed, i use ramps myself.

car in gear, hand brake on tight and chock the wheels. level surface.

makes it pretty safe.
