The first scene was a panning shot across a mountain range, it closes in on a guy climbing up a mountain, i think he is a national geographic photographer in the movie, he takes out his Nikon DSLR and shoots an Eagle.

Any ideas because this is killing me trying to think of its name.

nope it was Grosse Point Blank and it was a guy with a sniper rifle tracking a cyclist/assassin... easy mistake...
