So I have this flight that arrives in Calgary at 12:50 AM and a connection that leaves the next morning at 7:15. I'd rather not pay $150 bucks for a bed to sleep in for 5 hours.
My plan is to hit the bar in the airport untill it closes (generally what time does this happen) then sleep in the airport untill 6 or so. My question is
1)Would I be kicked out?
2)Would my bags be transfered to the next flight?
You can snag a bed for around 50 dollars in Vancouver. There's lots of competition and it's off season. It depends on the date.
Ask the airline about your baggage; it varies. You won't get kicked out of the airport.

Yeah but those beds would be in a sketchy hostel with homeless people.
I'm guessing that you haven't actually looked. They aren't bad hotels, prices just vary throughout the year. Maybe I should write up a thread explaining how hotels operate.
Why the trip to Cowtown?

So you're leaving B.C., going to Alberta, and returnin to B.C.?
Canadian airlines are fucked.

Yeah dude, I have to be in Vancouver untill 9:00 and then be back in Kelowna by 10:00 in the morning for class. I'd like to do this as cheaply as possible, and not spending the night in a hostel full of Eurotrash who want to party all night/homeless people.
And yes Euda please write a guide to hostels. I've only had bad experiences with them.

Why would you be kicked out of an airport? You are a paying customer. It is a layover. There has been many times where I slept on a bench at an airport because I had to wait for my next flight. One time in Newark, NJ for like 6 hours. Didn't get much sleep and I kept a tight grasp on my bags.

Just stick your ticket to your forehead so when a guard comes over to get up in your grill he will see it and know not to fuck with you.

No Problem just find a row of empty benches maybe near a food court which are usually closed at night, make a pillow of clothes and put your bags under your legs so they cant be stolen.
I had to spend 30 hours in an airport once because of blizzards. It sucks, but no ones gonna bother you.

No someone could steal it.
But generally your bags will be transferred automatically. I have never experienced having to do so manually, but hey its in connections like this that they loose your bags.
Just sleep in the airport, I see people do it all the time, even in Vancouver. If a security guard bothers you, show him your ticket and you should be fine.

Funnily enough, I had a dream where I got shit in my mouth last night. It was sort of earth like but oyu know when you have something in your mouth where you know it taste rank you kind of like hold your breath and turn off your tastebuds? Yeah, it was like that.

Yeah, I know that 'raw earth' smell that makes your nostrils flare wide open as if it's a smell imprinted on us since primeval times, no matter how fucking much you don't want to smell it. What a shit dream to have, out of the endless possibilties of dreams to be had.

I've done a lot of international traveling. I have both seen people sleeping in airports and been one of the people sleeping in airports. No one gives a shit. Around three A.M. there are more people sleeping than there are awake. Just pick a nice quiet corner and bring something soft to lay on. If you don't want your stuff to get stolen stick it in a locker or use your backpack as a pillow (my favorite).

Newark is the most disgusting city I've laid eyes on.

You need to learn pronouns. Its "your" not "you're" as in "you are".
Besides the point of the illiterate ass hole above, I'm in the military and I sleep in airports all the time when the USO is not available. Nobody will bother you, just make sure your shit does not get stolen.
