A review said the film was "vile and eventually silly." It is basically a remake of Death Wish (one of my all-time faves), but the reviewer said Death Wish was "loathsome".
Opinions, anyone? I'm kind of a big Jodie Foster fan, except for the movie about where her kid disappears from an airplane, since I don't much care about what happens to real kids, much less movie kids.

I liked this movie. While watching it began to think how her movie about being raped on the pinball machine would have been different if she went vigilante. Also liked First Death Wish, 2nd one was ok as well. As far as Hollywood influenceing the public these movies proved (unfortuanately) that they don't. I'd like to see a move about someone taking out the wall street guys and govt officials who destroyed our economy.
I also enjoyed this flick
Considering jodie foster is usually pretty selctive in her roles
she came off pretty fucking bad ass in this movie
and the ending was fucking good too
watch it you'll enjoy it

I never listen to the movie critics, they've dogged some of my favorite flicks and were dead wrong in their assessments.
I enjoyed The Brave One; thought it was a good movie with just the right dose of vigilante justice. Foster's great.
