Anybody else see this? I haven't heard a thing about it before or after seeing it.
It's kind of like how Bladerunner would be if the andys weren't hostile, and instead of the cities being dirty and smoggy, they were clean and shiny.
Might be spoilers here.
I don't really know what it is I like most about this movie (probably the girl...) but it's one of my favorites. It's not hard science fiction, which is good, but set in a very realistic near-future. The computers have evolved to be solely touchscreen, transparent glass panels, sunlight is bad for you, and pretty much every aspect of people's lives is regulated by insurance companies, or rather, the insurance company, not in an overbearing, orwellian way, but in a more realistic and less invasive way.
Instead of using one language, the major languages have kind of melded together, so a sentence might consist of english, mandarin and spanish words, and be perfectly understandable.
End spoilers.
Anyway, it's worth renting out or downloading if you like soft science fiction future-type stuff.
(I thought I'd already made a thread about this movie, but searching for it didn't turn anything up, maybe I imagined it...)
