Given transparent e-paper will be mainstream and feasible soon, what might we use it for?

Variable window tint/Privacy systems
Monitors/Displays/Signs/Decals/Etc
HUD's(imagine how awesome a sunglass/contact lens hud would be)
A myriad of optics
Stealth
Adjustable beakers/measuring vessels which have movable marker lines, or containers with digital visual labels
Sensual clothing
etc


It will be even more awesome when there are tactile-sensitive variations.

I, personally, can't wait for Augmented Reality. As in, you're wearing glasses and they add stuff in to whatever you're looking it. Like you're on a hike and you look up in the sky and see a giant arrow pointing you in the right direction, or you get some new FPS, program in the floor plan of your house, and shit jumps out at you as you walk around it.

That would be quite fun.

It might also make a good military optic. As in, wherever your weapon is pointing, a reticle appears in your visual field where it is aiming. Like a laser that only you can see.

Same thing with an actual gun mounted camera w/ eyepiece, but I think they already have that. It would just make the technology more feasible.

You could cover yourself in that stuff and impersonate anyone! The possibilities are endless! Imagine all the stuff you could get away with!

You could stick it on cars & that would be the indicators, brake lights & everything made from a thin flat plastic, less weight - more space.

Signage on cars too, that would be great, taxis that tell you if they are taken.

Advertising for local stores, just the stores that are closest, it would change to another closest store as the car moves away from the one that was being advertised.
Different advertising for different times of day, situation etc.

I saw that thin TV screen on TV years ago anyway, like 14 yrs ago....
Ok, we have got LCD & plasma TV's since, but not plastic thin TV.

are they touch screen? could they be? I think that touch screen would be a valuable asset, expanding the possibilities even farther
