I had a thought the other day questioning whether or not he was a Skull and Bones member. I haven't heard a peep of those conspiracy kooks bringing this up.
I am not sure about freemasonry but it would kind of surprise me. From what I understand freemasons are a bunch of bickering old men, nothing terribly sinister about it.
Obama apparently has intimate ties to groups like the CFR and Bilderberg group though.

I don't believe Obama belonged to either of these groups, and considering the presidents we have had who did not hide the fact they belonged to these semi-secret societies, I don't see why he would hide it if he did.

all my grandparents were freemasons. The freemasons donated the marriage counciling charity that my mum works for a new lazer printer last month.
they are a club like the lions club or rotary clubs apart from more exclusive.
he is a prince hall freemason (32nd degree)
Can you tells us where you got this information?
I have read that the upper degrees of the freemasonry were absorbed by the 'illuminati' brotherhood of death in the late 1700s. This has had relatively small effect on the majority of the degrees.
It is all just rambling though, I have never read much of anything about the freemasons that was particularly bad from a realistic source. So I dont really know what I think of them.
I have seen convincing evidence to support the idea that in order to become a 33rd degree mason you must be a part of the illuminati conglomerate.

did u get that from angels and demons? or did u really read that from a credible source?
even though all the info in that book was sourced and factual, im just curious where u got that from.
goldenleaf and anon99989, u two are just fucking stupid.

There is nothing whatsoever sinister about the freemasons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Templar_(Freemason_degree)).
EDIT: Nvm, forgot he was muslim. My opinion still stands though.

I have never read angels and demons, in fact I'm not really sure what its about. I plan to read it sometime because I enjoyed the Da Vinci code.
I looked around for a while and couldn't find the exact source. If I find it and this topic is around I will post it. I believe it was from one of Chris Everard's documentaries, and the only one I have at the moment is on the space race.
From what I can remember, it said that after the Bavarian Illuminati, which apparently was the remnants of something much older, was banned in Europe several of its prominent members came to American and tried to take control of the Masonic lodges. Supposedly they eventually got into the highest degrees and have managed to keep control of these degrees since then. I believe a quote actually exists where one of the founding fathers says he believe freemasonry has been absorbed by something sinister.
Freemasonry was chosen because it was a social organization that contained prominent members in society and thus allowed them to make the most social ties and allies quickly that didn't necessarily have to know about their agenda.
Its important to remember that, to my knowledge, none of these organization or group actually refer to themselves as 'illuminati' and that is essentially what we call them. When someone says illuminati they are talking about a loose conglomerate of secret societies, corporations, royalty, bankers, and politicians that are effectively working together for loosely the same goal, whether it is purposeful or not. Some of these groups are after something truly sinister, and others are only after money, resources, and power.
Its usually hard to find really good factual information on this because it is so polluted by bullshit, rambling, and screaming. The fact is that people are making billions of dollars off of us not understanding these plots.
I thought all presidents were admitted into the freemasonry anyways?
Or was that just a myth?

Hes gotta be a freemason, most upper government is. I belive most presidents were freemason. I mean, its on our fucking money, they wrote our constitution, they founded our life as we know it...it only makes sense that the man who controls it all is one...right? Idk, there nothing wrong with freemasons...im glad there running our shit. There smart as fuck and they have good morals..better he be a freemason than a morman!
...vote for brown
edt: don't mind the morman comment...i just was reading. And the morman jesus himself Mr. Joseph Smith was indeed a freemason.
You need to understand that for most of our countries history you were almost expected to join the Freemasons if you were anyone important. Kind of like how most boys join scouts.
In probably the last 50 years the same social stigma doesn't exist to nearly the same degree and freemasonry in general has been in a decline.
I still believe that the people in the higher degrees freemasonry may have sinister intent just because it is a human institution and power is corrupting.

How many black Freemasons have you seen EVER?
angryonion
2008-11-27, 00:51
I don't think he is a Freemason.
A lot of lodges down south will not accept a black man as a member at all because you have to be a free man in order to join.
Even up in the free north I have never seen a black man in a lodge.
