I had no idea where to post this question...I'm sure everyone here won't mind that I created a thread that's NOT a "how do I make..." topic.

Anyhow on a news show I just saw they are saying how the sport of Cycling is being fucked by their crooked athletes, and how the drug manufacturing is masking or developing faster than the testing technology is.

Anyhow I think these chemists must be committed and clever to do what they are to the human body but it's a stupid outcome...being able to ride a bike?!? How about a cure to disease, or a drug better than ecstasy or...

What's the dealio?

Well, some of us think that mdma is a useful drug and has a potential far exceeding how hard you can ping at the next rave... some of us are doing original research and synthesis, but without a full-scale and well-funded lab, projects move slowly and sometimes painfully crudely... it's hard enough getting a place safe enough to do small-scale synthesis, let alone large-scale and double-blind tests on 400 rats in your backyard.

Cure to disease is far stretched but "new" drugs are being made every now and then. If you have access to BL, HL or any of the still relativity "under" forums there are people there doing some AMAZING WORK!

I was reading about some people who were fund raising for a certain drugs for some one with cancer.
Our hospital system wouldn't pay for it themselves.

I looked it up & each pill was worth US$512 !

The person died anyway so I think the hospital knew what it was doing.

Can't remember the name of it so I will look for the magazine again next time I'm getting fish & chips.
