i'm moving to philadelphia when september comes and i've saved 6 g's for it. but recently i've been thinking it might be more fun to move with nothing. i'm only moving for the adventure part of it, so being without money might make it more of an adventure. has anybody tried this? i could just give the money up to charity and bounce half way across the country with nothing but a train ticket. if it could work i'll gamble on it.

Why dont you just keep the money in case of emergency and go for it.

that's what i was going to do but if i could start with nothing i'd be like link from zelda. i've always had enough money to pay rent and buy food or whatever, so i'd like to see how i'd act if i was broke in a new city with nowhere to go for help. it's kind of like man vs. wild but in philly or pittsburg. i haven't completely decided where i'll move yet.
Honestly, if something were to go wrong you would be screwed. If I were you just open up a bank account put the money there and forget about it. If something goes wrong you can always re-gain access to the money.
