When Bush was in power they made him out to be the bad guy because Bush wouldn't talk with them unconditionally. Now that Obama wants to talk to them unconditionally, they don't want to talk to use unconditionally.
They are playing a smart game by using world opinion against us. First they played Bush to be an asshole, and now they play the Farce in Iraq card. Neither Bush or the War in Iraq are particularly thought well of in countries abroad, and that's why they use it as leverage.

"The U.S. must prove that their policies have changed and are now based upon respecting the rights of the Iranian nation and mutual respect," said Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi, the president's closest adviser.
yes. I agree.
I can understand why they are still wary.

The letter was obviously not a trap. That's retarded. Obviously the reason was because the US government has been abusing the Iranian people and trying to sabotage them ever since the british got butthurt over Iran refusing to get ripped off by them any longer in the 50s, and so they violently overthrew Iran's democratically elected leader for the profit of western oil companies, and Iran hasn't had democracy ever since. So Ahmadinejad was just hoping obama wouldn't have the same hostile retarded foreign policy as bush. But he does.
The only reason they're saying Iran might have nukes is because Israel got all butthurt over Ahmadinejad's comments about Israel, which were misinterpreted to make it look like he was threatening to wipe israel off the map.
In reality he just wants the Israeli government to fall apart like the soviet union did, and with good reason. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7451691.stm
The jews have been abusing the palestinians and stealing their land for a long time. When asked what they thought about how the settlements are considered illegal under international law, some jewish settlers replied "This is our land, god gave it to us. The palestinians don't belong here."
And no one's doing anything to stop the jews. There's no justice for the palestinians. It's sickening. Some rabbis are even preaching that the palestinians need to be exterminated completely.
I'm convinced now that Obama is nothing more than a puppet for the zionists. No doubt he will flipflop on the medical marijuana issue and fail to end DEA raids on med pot facilities. Elitists are never satisfied with what they have. They always want more.

Obama has already talked about economic incentives for Iran's co-operation and completely ruled out a "regime change" there, so it's not really surprising they're more keen to play ball. Many negative words spring to mind in regards to Ahmadinejad, but stupid isn't one of them. If he's going to give up proliferation he's going to be damn sure someone makes it worth his while.

And that's how we grab him by the balls. Obama's going to set an economic deal that's going to sound sweet but essentially it's going to drain them, well the country, not the people running the country. But your right Ahmadinejad isn't dumb and I doubt he's going to fall for this. You should read John Perkins: Confessions of an economic hitman. Goes into great detail in explaining how we manage to grab our countries by the balls.

I read it a couple of months ago, and from the little I know about Amadinejad I don't think it's the kind of thing he would sign onto. He's already poo-pooed a package from Europe, but I don't know exactly what that entailed; the only specifics I could find were entry to the WTO and civilian and military aircraft parts, but that won't have been the full contents of deal. At any rate, from the way he babbles about American Imperialism it would be pretty ironic if he accepted a deal which promoted US economic interests in his own country in the long run at the expense of his people.

If he did this, our masters would stop telling us he is a bad guy. Same with Castro, Chavez, and formerly Hussein.
Countries that allow us to exploit them, are A-Okay in the eyes of the media addled American population at large.

I guess so, but what about other nations which have managed to set up favorable balances of trade like Germany, and Japan? We can't really exploit them, they have a favorable balance of trade, they're getting richer and we have no control over their companies.
Hopefully, in a few years we can get back to isolationism, I don't know who's idea it was to get in everyone else's business (eh hem Progressivism's imperialist tendencies eh hem), but lets get done with it.

Iran knows that Americans won't support another war under Bush, but the "messiah" Obama can do no wrong so it'd be easy for him to order a strike.

I guess this was the "change" obama was talking of, they want to change who wears the pants in the America-Iran relationship.

So agreeing to talk with them without pre-conditions makes America weak?
By refusing to negotiate with people Bush doesn't like, we're just closing off possibilities. The more people you have talking and working together, the better the chance you have for peace.
Of course, we could just not talk to them and keep invading countries that piss us off. That's cool too.
