Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you could refer or recommend me some good milligram scales (.001) for the price I'm looking for? I prefer a small sized one, as well as the least amount of crevices and such possible for the substance to fall through. I've done some research and found some pretty good ones, but I want to see what you guys have owned and used. Please keep it under $125, I might go a little higher if definitely worth it.

Thanks.

EDIT: I'd like to add that it'd be used for measuring RC's, so if you have any experience with that please let me know.

Thanks for all your help, but I'm asking for recommendations for specific scales, not websites that sell them..

Ok I've come to two scales, anyone got any opinions.. which one seems better:

Thanks.

dont get an analytical scale (one that goes to .0001) you need a box to block air currents and they take forever to weigh ANYTHING

ive bought from oldwillnot before they are good

Hm.. Is there a problem with putting on their lid (for both of the linked scales) while weighing something so it stops wind and what not?

Not to true. The box usually comes with it and the weighting shouldn't take more then 10-20 seconds.

I agree. In my experience it doesn't take that long.

...although for something that accurate you really want a decent marble/stone slab to put the thing on. If it has the box already set up and you can move the top without causing too much in the way of air currents, I generally find it alright, about 10 seconds tor each a stable reading.

dude i use one every day, for anything hot you have to put it in the box and leave it till it cools, its fine for REALLY small amounts <1g but for general use milligrams are all that is needed

ps you cant really measure anything less than a milligram, that's why those scales are called analytical, you can ANALYZE what you have in a dish

Just a heads if you've used a scale in that price range for RCs and know a decent scale please let me know how that works out.

You might want to consider the dilution/evaporation method:

Weigh ten times as much as you want for one dose, find a solvent its nice and soluble in, for the most part ethanol or water is probably going to be good, dissolve it into a known volume of said solvent, and dispense a tenth of the volume onto an evaporating plate. Evaporate to yield accurate-enough weight of RC.

Well, my Gemini-20 just arrived today. Just testing it out with the calibration weight and a nickle it seems spot on for the most part, though after you have been taking something on and off a few times it can get to be off, but for the first measurement or two it is dead on accurate, then you need to either turn it off and on or tare it to get it rezeroed.

Will let you know more once I get the chance to actually weigh small things.

Christ on a bike!

Can we maybe take a step back on the self-incriminating posts please ?!

Good point. Though I doubt it will really cause any trouble, too much hassle for them for what they get.

i've only used one, and it was stolen from a lab so it cost about $700 at least. i have seen relatively cheap ones on ebay, i would honestly see what they have to offer on ebay and then research them elsewhere.

you can either skeet yourself by getting something cheap. consequences if you are using drugs, which i assume so since i see you in bltc means not gauging accurate doses of your milligram drugs which can be horrible given the type of drug.

i.e. you try to weigh a few mg of DMT or 2c-e, you end up with triple what you thought and it's so small you assume it is right.

OR you can do your research and drop a few hundred on a nice scale and everything will be peachy from there on.

either way if you are getting an MG scale buy enough RCs to slang off and youll make your money back in no time. off a gram of 2c-e a few years ago i pocketed like $300 after doing about 200mg of it myself.

let me just reinforce my last post because i have been in your exact position ASP.

DON'T BUY FROM EBAY UNTIL YOU RESEARCH THE QUALITY OF THE INSTRUMENT!! you can buy complete crap on there 9/10 even with extensive research. those things are so sensitive most have a piece of plastic you surround the actual scale with because a room no fans on or anything has enough circulation to throw off the accuracy of the thing. .001 grams is a ridiculous unit of measure.

Don't just hop on the first oppurtunity you see either, wait this out, find the one that is just right for you.

Also, look around at the local headshops and jewelry type places. I am sure there are some jewerly oriented places around town that have them for sale.

Just be savvy and froogle and things will work out for you.

Next go to GNC and buy a bag of 1000 caps for $15. It'll take you a few hours to cap up a gram or two of RCs but it will be well worth it, like i said i ate 1/5 of my supply and still had enough to buy a bunch of nice shit for my car.

edit- IM me if you want to talk more about the shit.

Thanks.

the one i have always used is fucking huge. it's like 3/4 the size of a record player, i would recommend something like that. it's a lot more sturdy, those little ones just seem too fragile/accident prone.
