Has anyone else noticed that there are a few characters and doors named after one of the founding members of Alice in Chains.
Just something i've seen around the place. Could be coincidence though.
In Rivet City there seem to be a family called the Staleys. After, obviously Layne Staley.
Is it just me or is that a bit more than coincidence?
I mean they are an amazing band so it might be intentional
Is that the only example? If so, it's probably just a coincidence.

OP is an asshole.
I was reading this Fallout 3 walkthrough last night and the faggot said "and this is an obvious 311(best band ever) reference".
Just because a name or an item reminds you of the crappy music you listen to doesn't mean it's an intentional reference.
"Lawl, the name of the Sherrif in Megaton is Lucas Sims, an obvious reference to George Lucas creator of Star Wars"

and the "88420" in my nick obviously means I'm a fascist pot smoking Hitler adoring Luther Vandross fanatic, and could in no way perhaps be my birthday numbers!
I don't know...last names don't really make for concrete nods. I could see maybe like...if the Staley's home had an chair that said "Angry". or if somewhere in the game, for no apperent reason, there was some sort of easter egg of a box, with a man in it. and maybe when you spoke to him, he asked "Would?".

Okay okay point taken! Jesus overkill much. Simply an observation. Also, Frank of The Dead, AiC aren't shit. They kick ass. Also i didn't read any "Strategy Guide" or FAQ or whatever you called it, but it is interesting how someone else noticed it too

AiC singer reminds me of someone hitting a cat with a baseball bat while dragging their nails down a chalkboard.

Well, there's one obvious reference:
There's an android called armitage, named after -imho- armitage from Neuromanacer, the cyberpunk novel by William Gibson which incorporates body modification where armitage assembles a squad of runners, one of whom has had some pretty heavy bodywork done to her.
There's probably a bunch more.
