I'm in a shitty position right now. My family owns a business, 50/50 between my Uncle and my Dad. I've been having some serious problems with the shop foreman. I've gone to my Dad who is also my boss, several times and made complaints do to verbal harassment. My Dad hates the guy, but my Uncle is good friends with him, and refused to do anything at all about it. Due to them being 50/50 partners, they both have to agree to can the prick, but my Uncle refuses to even acknowledge the situation. It's been ongoing for years. My Dad has stood up for me several times, but this prick still constantly pulls shit. I suspect this has a lot to do with the foreman, Uncle, and cousin, making backdoor deals to buy out my Dad's shares. My Dad however wants me to take over his shares, and as long as I'm there, they can't really do a damn thing about it. However, I don't really want to take over his shares anymore, because I don't want to be partners in a business with people who don't seem to give a rats ass about me.

The most recent incident occurred on Friday. There was huge mess in one of the bays that I needed to use in the shop. I used it anyways, added very little to the mess, if anything at all, and then left to finish another job once done. When I came back into the shop, the foreman said, " Are you going to clean up your fucking mess?" My response was, " No, It wasn't mine, and nobody every cleans up after me, so why should I clean up someone else? They can clean it up." Him," It's your mess, you can fucking clean it up now!" This guy isn't my foreman, as I work directly under my dad on his jobs, so I just ignored him, and said," Whatever Corey." He says, " What, are you going to run to your daddy now and tell on me? Fucking loser!" This was right in front of 3 other co-workers.

I've basically gotten tired of his and my Uncles bullshit, and I'm looking into working somewhere else soon. However, considering my last name, and the very small number of companies working in the same specialty, with my last name, I can't get a job doing the same thing. I'm also pissed that I have to leave because I don't want to deal with this shit anymore. I was purposely targeted to try and drive me out of the business by him, my Uncle, and my cousin. I'm leaving, and I'm getting a lawyer. Whether I have to take the foreman to court, or I have to sue the company itself, I am. He's caused me serious problems, caused tension in my family over this, and after this lawsuit, I'm going to be done in this profession as word will get around and my reputation will be toast. I'm going to sue for as much as possible. I'm going to be outcasted by my family for sure, and I'm done in the industry, as nobody is going to want to hire someone who takes their own family to court. My Dad actually backs my decision to take this route, even though I will likely be suing the company. I'm sure he'll be launching his own lawsuit against the foreman for losses immediately afterward.

I was wondering if anyone here knows if I'm on ground to do so and how much I should go for.
