View Full Version : Sausage with merlot, Asiago, and sundried tomatoes
So I saw these sausages that have Asiago, merlot, and sundried toms cooked into them. They were on special the other day at the store, and I figured they'd be worth a shot. I plan on serving them tonight in an Alfredo with asparagus tips over linguine.
Anything else you guys think this sort of thing could be used for? I've got another package in the freezer, so hopefully they turn out tasty.
Broil them, then sprinkle some cracked black pepper and sea salt on them (no too much).
Prepare some mostacolli pasta.
Cut the sausage, on a slant, into small bite-sized pieces.
Toss with pasta and top with a marinara sauce and parmesan.
Serve with red wine.
Basic - and good! :)
Peace.

mmm, sounds like a good find. i would dice these up an cook em with some pine nuts an shallots. then add some bread crumbs, an make a stuffing.
then i would butterfly a pork chop or a chicken breast an stuff that bad boy up. sear it in a pan an finish in the oven.
serve with veg an roasted taters.

You should boil your potatos shortly first, then shake them about gently in a collindar to break the surface a little, coat in oil, oil a tray and then roast. You'll get super crispy ones then.
How were they? I've seen their like before, but passed over them. If they're good, I'd be interested in giving them a shot.

Mashed potato :mad::mad::mad:
Euda, quite tasty. Not as spicy or robust as many sausages that I usually use, but rich and mellow. The flavor went well with the Alfredo (which I tossed a few sundried toms at as well).
Ash, bangers and mash with craft sausage? Meh...leave that sort of thing for your regular brat or whatever. For something that isn't just salt and meat, I'd prefer to make use of the range they have.

What was the brand? A friend of mine got a job off craigslist going to super markets and cooking sausages like these and sampling for people. He used to give me free sausages all the time with weird flavors like that.

Boulder Sausage Co. Definitely a regional brand around these parts.
