Well, I have this LM hash, it's 16cacc9438610929c2e4d699363bc12d. The NT hash is 68f6060ddbd7f385bdd6586b0b188913.
I'm using ophcrack with the "XP free fast" and "Vista free tables" installed. So far I haven't been able to crack it; "ND" shows up under the LM Pwd 2 tab, but after a few minutes I get "not found" under LM Pwd 1 :(. Are there any other tables that might help with cracking this?

Rainbow table

Did you even read the ops post? He is already using rainbow tables, but they have been unsuccessfull.

Heres a link to a few:

You are booting ophcrack from the LiveCD aren't you?

Have you tried using Cain and Abel?

Do you have any other computers in your house? If you're cracking NTLM hashes, then the more processing power you can get, the better. Might want to set up a little cluster, spread the load. I plan on utilising the power of my PS3 next time I try to crack them, see what that makes of it.

Originally, I attempted that but was unable to boot up using the ophcrack livecd. I attempted to boot from ubuntu, intending to copy the files from %systemroot%\system32\config but it was horrendously slow After a few minutes of deliberation I downloaded puppy linux, burned it to a disc, and I managed to boot up and copy the files to my USB drive.

No I have not tried using Cain and Abel. I do have RainbowCrack though, but I need to generate the tables.

edit: I found the password. The reason I couldn't crack it with the free tables hosted oh ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ was because it had special characters (!"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}~, etc).
