All right folks. It is a five digit combination, with no number higher than 4. I have seen the target look at this information each time it punches in the code. It goes as follows 2 (23) 13 (12). {23 and 12 are circled}. First to get it right gets mad kudos.
Thanks, ill be watching!
Why are you looking at the paper and not the input device?
Is zero an option? (1024 combos vs 3125 combos)
Can we have some background info on subject?
What does this combination unlock?

Shes old as fuck. tis a gun safe matey! but no worries im not homicidal, theres just something in there i want. and no zero is not an option.
Thanks

My only guess was that was that each of those represented a number
so the 2 would be 2
and i though the others might be a "coded" way of representing another number using addition or subtraction
since 23 couldn't be added or it would be 5 i thought the circled numbers must be subtracted
so 23 could be 3-2 or 1 and the 13 could be added to be 4 and then 12 could be 1
so the code could be 2141
5 digits.
You could just go through all the combinations. It would take about an hour and a half. You could crack it while she's at bingo.
It might be wired to an alarm.
Although, her being old as fuck, it's unlikely.
If the number 5 was allowed, I would guess (x y) means x+y, so the code would be 2 5 1 3 3. But if you're sure it isn't allowed, here are my guesses. Don't try them unless you know there is no alarm system obviously.
Case 1: (x y) means either x or y is the correct digit in that place.
2 2 1 3 1
2 2 1 3 2
2 3 1 3 1
2 3 1 3 2
Case 2: (x y) means |x-y|
2 1 1 3 1
Case 3: (x y) means x repeats y times (and the non-circled stuff is junk).
2 2 2 1 1
Case 4: circles are there to confuse you; pick a place to start and just read.
2 2 3 1 3
2 3 1 3 1
3 1 3 1 2
If none of those are it, I would advise you try these patterns:
1 2 3 2 1
1 2 4 2 1
1 1 1 1 1, 2 2 2 2 2, etc
If those don't work, you could always try all 1024 combos.
BY THE WAY, is it electronic or mechanical?
Oh, and don't rob old ladies :(

Thanks for the input. 2141 was not succesful. damn damn damn. 5 is not an option. its electronic, like, spring loaded. Im thinking its gonna come down to some espionage. ha haaaa! its drivin me crazy that this old bitch has me outsmarted!! well thanks any way and to the dude with the algebra theory, i like the way your thinking but that may be overestimating her old ass. shes a tad senile so it may be a code that only makes sense to her so fuck. thanks again

So you are robbing her? :(

Lots of gun safes lock you out after x number of failed tries.
Wait...Aren't we already locked out? Isn't that why we are trying to figure out the combination? It's kinda pointless to be trying to figureout the combination for a lock that isn't locked.

no bobby-o were all good actually. After 3 failed trys it locks up for like... about 5 min, its fairly crappy. Tonight i will run all of the possible combinations that one guy posted. I will let yall know how it turns out
thanks much,
Zachtheflipper
What exactly are you doing?

uhhhhh. trying to see whats in this godamn safe! Its been driving me crazy, but for the record i did a little watching and the code was 14132. Yeah i know, fucking crazy right. I think her little encryption was something of her own device. soo thanks anyway tho.!

What the fuck! You crack it and you're not gonna tell us whats in it? What kind of a quest is that? C'mon Zach!
Why are you looking at the paper and not the input device?
Mad props to me!:D

From the actual code, it could be something like:
Actual code: 2(23)13(12)
Now from the center
1 then 3+1 or even 12/3 then backwards to the 1 then just 3 2
I'm only making stuff up though :)
