so i dont remember where, but once i read that their was an experiment done where researchers put two separate clocks on two separate planes and had the planes fly around the earth in opposite directions. when they came back, one clock was slow, the other clock was fast.

i know this has something to do w/ one of Einsteins theories and time travel and approaching the speed of light etc.

im not sure if that is exactly how the experiment was done but it doesnt matter for my question.

i always thought that you could only travel forward in time, but if you can travel backwards too, then how do you know which way is forward and which way is backwards?

or do i just not understand the concept? if i dont understand please explain.

If you want someone to explain the concept of time travel to you try consulting my old mate Stephen (http://www.depletedcranium.com/happyscience/Stephen_Hawking.jpg). Everyone else is just talking out of their ass.

So how do you know whether you're going back or fowards? It's called a window.

Fowards:

Backwards:

(But Seriously, the methods for traveling forwards in time are vastly different for those required to go back. That's how you know.)
