I put chilli in everything, and then put some more chilli sauce on top, then maybe a bit of sandwich with my jalapeno.
Chilli has has got to be my favourite spice.
Its almost like edible solace - its uncomfortable and almost painful- but at the same time refreshing and powerful.

It's ok now and again. I find if it's too spicy it's boring food though. Can't really taste much.

I overuse Tabasco sauce. The only real bad thing about Tabasco is that it has a real dominant flavor, per se, in that it doesn't really complement the food so much as it overtakes the flavor with its own. I still put that shit on everything.

Cholula and Sriracha are the two best hot sauces commercially available.
Tobasco tastes like shit compared to those two sauces.

This saddens me CotA, I had hoped that there were some people left in the world who remembered that culinary indulgence was something done not only for taste but for experience. 357MD tastes great, it's an incredible heat and a nice smell too. You can smell it and know it's potent as a motherfucker, it'll blow your motherfucking sinuses so wide that your brain oozes out. You can't experience that any other way. Eating is not about taste it's about experience. If you wanted something that tasted good you'd eat some MSG'd up ramen or a Whopper or something that's actually manufactured for taste. Expensive food tastes like shit, it's the experience that matters. And that's something that the wannabe classists of this forum will never know.

i find pizza really bland unless it has heaps of chilli flakes or a spicy tomato base (or both.)
i don't really get people that don't like spicy food. i understand not wanting the spiciness to overpower other flavours, but not being able to tolerate spicy food is crap. man up, bitches.
and i'm a girl.

its also worth noting that over-indulging in spicy food has some serious ramifications.
one time a made a pizza with fuckloads of toppings; 30% of which were jalapenos and it had chilli sauce on the base.

Yeah, but are you a manbeastgirl or a pretty girl? You can't really throw the 'I'm a girl' thing in unless you're pretty and delicate.

'bouts 5-6 years ago you could order a double or even triple topped El Scorcho from Dominos. This is the days before they shrank their fucking pizzas to the size of a Long Play record. Good pizza, for a shitty chain store.

Although if you really want something hot you go get some more serious chilli (say... habaneros) and get them to put that on a pizza.
Pizza size varies from country to country for some reason... In aust its Eagle Boys = 12inch, Dominos = 11.5inch, and Pizza Hut = 11inch. That doesnt say anything about the pizza quality though - best pizza I've ever had was a smallish (probably 11inch) woodfired one from a particular restaurant.

I can't get those hot sauces around here. My favorite is franks redhot. Not spicy really at all but the flavor to me is to die for. I use a large bottle in about a week.. About pizza anyone ever tried Guido's pizza? They make them large but they are very expensive. Big G is a 16 by 16 inch deep dish pizza. Costs prolly 25 bucks but its worth it..about 3 days worth of leftovers

I use chili oil rather than hot sauces. You get the spice but retain the flavour of the food.
I've also got a package of dried chilis from a chinese grocers. I'm not sure what kind they are, the package just said "hottest chilis". But they are fucking hot.

Takeaway Indian food is.
Tradtional Indian food isn't as hot, but it certainly is bursting with spices and flavour. Indian food is amazing for its variety.
Hot food has its place here and there. If food is too hot then it just destroys your palate and you can't distinguish anything. It makes your meal/snack boring.

Yes. They can also be used to make a rather tasty salad dressing. :)
I have a nice bottle of habanero-based hot sauce that I picked up from a farmer's market, but it's used sparingly.

Id have to agree with Sriracha but cholula tastes like a mexicans penis. Try to find the tobasco chipotle hot sauce, not that spicey but filled with flavor.

Some really hot food is nice, but it burns your tounge and fucks your palate up after a few mouthfuls and you can't appreciate the rest of the flavours.
Do tell.
It's simply a standard vinaigrette, but you add a chili oil, to taste, to the olive oil. Nothing fancy, but it's a nice change.
