Hello Totse, I am planning a trip to one of the following in August 2009 I need your opinions on where you would go so keep this in mind
Money - use your actual income to decide where you would go
Interest - Where would you prefer to go?
Time of the year - To cold? To hot?
And also recommend me a tour group to travel with if you have one
The trips will be:
Japan 7-11 days, 3-4k
Rome 7-9 days 2-3k
Venice 7-10 days 2-3.5 k
All data will be considered into where I go and take my friends who are coming too so be elaborate. Thanks!

Been to Rome and Venice, got a cousin who works in Japan.
Strike Venice off there because you'll be bored shitless after two days.
Rome's ok. A lot to see and do so long as you like your history and art.
However if you're prepared to take some culture shock I'd definately choose Japan.
I really wouldn't recommend a tour group. I went on a tour once and it was ok but just so rushed. You'll be sharing the tour with a bunch of people you probably wont like all with conflicting interests. About the only thing I liked about the tour was the ease with which they organised travel, accomodation and visas. Since you're going to one destination though it's really not that hard to organise yourself and plan an itinerary based on what you like.

Thanks, and Japan is my vote too as i have already been there so thanks for the help... anyone else?
well, remember that is you travel in the EU, youre going to be dealing in Euros, you kno, the thing beating my dollar in the ass. also, my friends have all tole me that they hated venice, but enjoyed Rome, except the fact that its a huge tourist city, so the prices are already jacked up (plus the euro!!!)
japan is another tourist heavy place, but if i was going to go anywhere on your list, id goto Japan. already travelled enough of europe to know that i dontlike europeans (not that the japanese are on the top of my 'to meet' list).
