yes i have the premier edition of RA3. its a fun game. though i wouldnt say it was better than RA2 or yuris, but its still a great game to play on multiplayer. balancing is still an issue, but not as much as in yuris revenge

the game pace is pretty much the same as RA1 (that is, slower than RA2, but faster than generals).

the only annoying thing is DRM, but since youre downloading it, it wouldnt be a problem

the cinematics are beautifully cheesy as always and good for a laugh.

i think overall it's an OK game, but for me its a little too slow paced, I still haven't beat any of the campaigns because I lost interest and for some fucking reason I can't get online.

Anyway, I would wait till it comes down in price a bit before buying it, so far I think RA2 was slightly better.

Well i like red alert 3.. i'd give it a 85%. Can't compare it to the old red alert IMO. Randy Couture is one of the officers in it though haha.

But I did hax, installed Hamachi and used that to play online through LAN. I tried it with some guy that had RA3, but his one was purchased, and it said that we need the same executable.

I thought it was pretty shitty. But I didn't really like the whole cartoony effect - I prefer the more serious approach like the older ones. After Tiberium Wars (Which I liked), I was expecting something along the same lines but Red Alert style.

Still, it's not a bad game by any respect, just didn't like the less than serious approach.

I was one of the unlucky few who got a retarded serial number that was missing the last character. I returned the game and got a new one, but uninstalling and reinstalling is a nightmare.

Especially when you're trying to trick EA into thinking you bought two copies of RA3... :rolleyes:

Its kinda cartoonie and has the Generals feel to it, when you kill the emperor, music sounds just like the GLA

Good load times and a budget 800-1200 ish comp should be able to max out everything at 16x12

as someone whos played all the CnC's (even covert ops, counterstrike, firestorm etc) i find RA3 would rank higher than generals, ZH, CnC3 and KW, though it didnt have the same effect on me as the older games

I got RA3 LAN working with Hamachi, my downloaded version.

My friend and I have the same downloaded version, when we tried to plan LAN it said same serial cannot be used in a LAN game, so I did something to change my serial, and it actually worked lulz.

LAN is alright though, prefer RA2 LAN...
