Tonight a 2 part, 4-hour prequel for Season 7 is going to air. The plot sounds like Blood Diamond from what I've gathered.

Season 6 really turned me off from the show, but I guess things might be looking up now that they are starting fresh. I just hope the idiot writers have learned their lesson and don't massacre off the entire cast again, save for Jack.

it wont be on australian TV for a while, but being a fan of the series, i will download it.

though i do agree that the series has taken a bit of a downturn in recent seasons, not because of the killing of the cast, but just how fragmented the story was. i mean last season had 2 short, shitty plots which didnt really have time to evolve

I think this show sucked all around, Jack Bower is an asshole. :D:D

Just watched tonight's episode. It was pretty good...hopefully they'll wrap things up in tomorrow night's episode, and it'll be like a stand-alone movie.

whats with the camera work? The scene where they are running from the helicopter you can see a camera man...what is it like a one time shot so they say fuck it? Or they don't even notice it in editing?

I must have misread something...I think Sunday's episode was the only one.

Apparently the 4-hour premiere is in January.

God Damn that show sucked. 24 is now stale as hell. I liked 24 when it chronicled a bad day in the life of a weary soldier of the long war. Now its all about Jack being a fag and looking for redemption. That should have killed this show after the fourth season (though I must admit the first four episodes of season 6 were amazing).

heh, i just watched redemption.

it was ok. i found it to be very typical of the 24 series. though being a fan, i did enjoy it, but wouldnt expect others to do so

Wow, I just watched the first 17 mins and I am quite impressed! I thought 24 would be less relevant with the end of the Bush era, but it seems like the producers have proved me wrong. While earlier seasons were about a nation fighting an invisible threat, this season seems like it has to do with a nation dealing with the transgressions during this long war and deciding which was right and what was wrong.

It looks like it's going to shit in the faces of all the bleeding heart, "ethical" morons out there. It had a great opening sequence though, and I like the change of setting...LA was getting pretty tiresome.

Yes and Yes. I loved Jacks soliloquy justifying the use of torture.
