D'ya think it'll happen?

As a long-time fan of the Jackass series and its spin-offs (Viva la Bam, Wildboyz) there are few things that could excite me more than the prospect of a third feature-length film in the series.

So here's a few points of contention.

Number Two wasn't even supposed to happen.
Probably my biggest concern as to why there will not be a third film. Two only came about because Johnny Knoxville was shooting on the set of Wildboyz with director Jeff Tremaine in Russia, and Tremaine saw Knoxville's dedication, then suggesting, "If you're going to go all-out, why don't we shoot a sequel?"

Both Jackass films garnered huge amounts of cash.
I'd say this leans towards the better possibility of a third film. Jackass: The Movie was made on a budget of $5 million, and took in nearly $80,000,000 at the box office. Few movies can claim that kind of performance, earning $16 for every $1 spent on production. Number Two also did quite well, on an $11.5 million budget and earning around $84,000,000. Paramount would be stupid to ignore these numbers.

The Howard Stern Show
On the September 25, 2007 episode of the Howard Stern show, series regular Steve-O claimed, "I was told to rest up for Jackass three which will start shooting in February." However, Steve-O is a well-known abuser of alcohol and other drugs, so I'm not sure I'll keep any faith in this statement.

So, do you think there'll be a third Jackass film?

Hopefully, I thought #2 was even better than #1, but you should definitely watch the CKY series, I think its better than Jackass over all...but you probably already have.

I guess they'll do another one, but from what I've read Steve-O has not long come out of the nut house and is now sober and drug free. So he might not be the same guy anymore. As for the others I guess they will need the money by now.

I loved the Jackass series, but by the time the movie came out it had got a little old.

People getting hurt is a lot of fun, but only when it's unintentional, not when it's done for profit. I like seeing the hurt in their eyes as they realize they didn't do the stunt, everybody now things they're lame, and the only thing they have to show for it is PAIN.

Some the Jackass stunts fail hard because they try too hard. Most of the Viva la Bam series fails because he just trys too hard "lol im going to drop a piano because I'm Bam and I rock hard!"

Fav. Jackass stunt is when wee man bungees off that fat guy.

i doubt it unless all their profits run out from drug binges and other wasteful shit. the only one who really seems to have his head on straight is knoxville the rest are a bunch of dumbfucks who got lucky.

honestly the reason Jackass split to begin with was because everyone began having too large of an ego. The CKY crew (bam, rake, brandon etc) felt like they weren't getting enough time on the jackass platform and ehren and the other background faces were getting tired of acting like jackasses and among other reasons the show split.

johnny used it as a platform to go on and do more respectable things (actually acting in movies)

bam used it to see his own face on tv because he thinks he is the shit and the coolest guy on earth.

steve o obviously used it to gain more money for his ridiculous drug habits and i think pontius joined because he enjoys the jackass mentality and has good chemistry with steveo.

my 2 cents.

England and Danger Erin were kind of worthless on jackass... especially Danger Erin...

Jackass would've been GREAT if they never picked up England and DE, spent that time instead on 3 groups of people... since it was basically Knoxville/Steve-o/Pontius and then the CKY crew, then Preston and Weeman are more for physical comedy where fat and short are need.

They need more great ideas... like the fire hose rodeo, or the giant mouse with the mouse traps.... fuck the super elaborate stunts... I could personally watch them fuck around with shopping carts and skateboards for two hours.

Knoxville is by far the best of all the Jackass people... and Bam has his moments when he isn't busy maintaining his ego.

Dunn could've been great if he wasn't such a fucking bum and was more physically apt for the jackass lifestyle... but the fact that he put himself in stupid positions where he knew he'd get his ass kicked was pretty good.

Honestly I wish I was the one that came up with jackass... I've been skating and riding around in shopping carts since before it was cool... I've also been tased, maced, tested riot devices, been shot with bean bags, rubber bullets, etc... and I would've been willing to do it all on TV too.

The Dudesons fucking rule. They should actually have the Dudesons in Jackass 3. Considering Steve O rocks out in the Dudesons movie and eats flaming corn chips. I like the dudesons better, because they seriously put their lives at risk and laugh thier asses off about it. Like when they do the car jump, and Jukka almost fucking dies, like, that wasn't a joke like some jackass stunt, he really almost died there.
Or when they shot him with the riot shotgun, with the bean bag, he didn't wear a pussy ass bullet-resistant vest, motherfucker just put on a leather jacket. He didn't even wear a t shirt under it, it was literally just a leather jacket.

But, seriously, both Jackass movies were fucking sweet. I'm going to start a betting pool if they start filming it, on which cast member dies during filming, and the cause of death. It pays for the person who guessed the dead cast member, and double for guessing his cause of death. If nobody dies, it goes to the most serious injury.

My bet is Dave England, death by Head Trauma.

A friend of mine's bet is Steve O, death by Drug Overdose, another's is Ryan Dunn, death by car accident (a good bet, because they say Ryan Dunn is notorious for being a terrible driver). Someone else is gonna place Chris Pontius, death by wild animal.

^ Strange to say the Jackass cast once had a discussion on who they thought would be the first to die among them and it was Dave England.

The rocket explosion was pretty fucked. There's a bonus clip though of the ending where the giant wall that falls actually hits Knoxville - the fucking wall weighed like 1,000 pounds or something of the sort - he's bloody lucky he didn't die then.

I find it laughable that here in the U.S. 'Dirty Sanchez' was renamed to 'Team Sanchez' or something of the sort because "dirty sanchez" is a sexual euphemism concerning :)poop:).
