This; HOME isn't much special now...Or at least it isn't until I get my hands on it, then I'll be able to pass judgement, I can't see them pulling something out of a hat that will make up for the delays though.

Home looks interesting to me.

I remember the hours upon hours upon HOURS I spent on AOL Chat rooms during the 90s and how much time I spent in the lobbies on Phantasy Star Universe. Then what it adds with PS3 exclusive rooms and the goofy little free games like bowling is just an extra bonus.

I'm looking forward to it. Sony says it'll be out this year and it's already the end of November. Are they going to pull a Nintendo with the "Wii will be under $250" and put it up on the last day of December?

Well I'm in the beta now after all this time...The verdict is in....

HOME is a wonderful concept in theory, but the way it's now applied seems like a gimmicky way to sell you useless shit for your (hate the pun) HOME and advertise for upcoming games. The beta is very dry right now but after they re-add the other things they stripped out before letting the whole world in (like the WarHawk rooms and such) it might become a nice little portal for the PS3.

Gamelaunching will be the breakout point of HOME! Mark my words! Only if you could make it autostart when you turn on the PS3 and could launch ANY game, that would make it really awesome.

The communication factor also is a big plus. In HOME you meet so many random people that your friends list will triple easily. You can meet someone and compare trophies while talking to them.

I just hope Sony doesn't fuck this up by not delivering on all the promises and hoopla they made HOME out to be...

I've never really anticipated Home much, myself. I'm sure it will be good for what it is -- especially considering it's free, but I don't think it will win over any new Sony fans, or win back any old ones.

I'd imagine it's one of those things to where the basic software is free (like a starter's pack) and all the good shit costs cash.

anyhow, what games have their own portals at the moment? Pain or LittleBigPlanet, by any chance?
