I don't want to close this yet because the findings of that study are very interesting. Add to your post something pertaining to the thing you pasted. Maybe facts about linguistics or some insight, along with a description of what it is and how it ties into language study. For example: I find that it's one of the justifications for Chinese characters. fluent readers just see a "picture" of a word, and it's so automatic that even with an illogical spelling system like in english you just "know" what to read, no need to concentrate on sounding it out.
We don't like copypasta here.
I actually can read it, but for the 45 people that can't please describe it.

Most likely, the only people who would have a hard time reading this are those who aren't very literate and rely more on phonetic interpretations. The thing I've wondered about this thing is if it really comes from a legitimate study. It probably does but I'd actually like to see it.

Expand on it/post the link to the paper
those who aren't very literate
personally I would add "flexible". because not being able to read some fucked up text as fast as others doesnīt mean you canīt read. itīs like with kids that can add 4+5 but donīt understand "4 apples + 5 peas is how many fruits" ..

I'm pretty sure nearly everyone can read that, except for the illiterate and the people who are just plain retarded. I know this isn't IFIOTW, but this is just SO OLD!

It wasn't supposed to make sense, dumbass. Anyways OP didn't elaborate and no good discussion came of this.
