So I'm probably going to buy an xbox360 if I can get it to play through my computer monitor. Now the problem is that my 19" LCD only has one vga connector and I don't know if they make split cables for any reason. Now the prefered method would be going INTO the computer through an input and having the xbox play through a program or media player or something like that. Any options you guys know of? Google is only giving me links for viewing pictures and music, which I don't give a flying fuck about.

I'm not aware of any method for streaming A/V output over a network, if that's what you mean. Files can be streamed to the 360, but I don't know of a way to stream output like you'd get from the plugs on the back of the machine.

Score. Found something that'll work.

You could also get a capture card with component input. Leadtek makes one that runs about $100.

VGA to Phono plug adaptor. I had one laying about at some point so I know they exist. Then female to female phono connectors to link the XB output and the VGA input.

Could work.
