Unfortunately due to the hype of Twilight, this movie is likely to be overlooked (but that may also be that it is a Swedish film).

But this movie is a spectacular vampire film. It does have it's romance but it's very awkward and played down. The actual feeding/killing scenes are fantastic and it overall stays true to the vampire mythos.
UNFORTUNATELY however, I believe the American studios got a license to remake it. Oh well.

I don't want to spoil any of it, but I definitely want to recommend it to all of you. Here are some links:

iMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/)

If you like vampire fiction, I'd suggest seeing this over Twilight but then I haven't seen Twilight (nor wish to).

Meh...looks alright, I guess. Honestly though, the only vampire movie I really liked was Blade. Guns, kung-fu, and badass techno music. 30 Days of Night was a crappy movie, but it delivered as far as vampire horror/action goes as well.

MEH.

Let the Right One In is an absolutely fantastic film, just got around to watching it last week and I highly recommend it to ANYONE. (I'm not even going to bother to see the garbage that is Twilight).

i am pretty certain the remake comes out late 09. the swedish version is alright. a lot of people bustin a nut over it for no reason if you ask me. i like the atmosphere of the movie, a little quiet dark snowy town (you can tell 30 days of night adapted that concept) and a bunch of average/ugly lookin folks. the atmosphere is probably what was most enjoyable for me.

however i found it to be slow and the action scenes were shot pretty poorly in my opinion. i hope the remake is better and i intend on reading the book here soon.

Underworld?
Interview with the Vampire?
From Dusk Till Dawn?
Bram Stoker's Dracula?
Lost Boys?
Hellsing Ultimate?

Okay...the last one's anime, but still my favorite. The Blade trilogy was pretty good, but they can't be the only vampire movies that you liked?

I thought 30 Days of Night was pretty good, but something about the timing of the movie seemed kinda weird and the ending pissed me the fuck off.

Methinks I'll see if I can find any torrents for Let the Right One In. Looks pretty good.

i had never seen interview with a vampire and always saw that it was coming on tv and shit. i figured it would be retarded for some reason, i always had that assumption in the back of my mind. i got it on my ondemand a few nights ago and was really impressed by it.

Yar, 'tis was a good movie. Almost as good as the book. I think it actually stayed pretty damn close to the novel actually...

It's rumored that Ann Rice was kinda pissed off about Tom Cruise playing Lestat, but meh, he was awesome.

Queen of the Damned, on the other hand, made me want to light orphanages on fire.

A lot of people liked it, but I can't really see why. They skipped a very good novel in the series and then didn't even follow the original storyline at all. The story that they did tell was mostly fucking crap. It's like they took all of the characters from the Ann Rice novels and then shat them out onto the screen. The story that Ann Rice told was so much better and I rly wish they would've stuck with it.

The soundtrack was pretty kickass though. :D
