Before yesterday, I had never heard of them. The new BRK catalog had a listing of some interesting looking close-outs and discontinued models. I asked my sweety to do a websearch, and she told me that some models (the Slimcut Linerlocks, which have laser-cut serrations) had MSRPs of $79.95 and were selling on some sites for $39.95; others (the Elishewitz) had MSRPs of $139.95. All had solingen steel blades--I assume they are German made.
Anyway, I was so impressed I ordered about $2000 (at MSRP) this morning--got up at five am to do so, and at that time, there were not many left.
They look like great deals for the dough. I wonder if anyone here owns one.
I'm afraid I don't have ime to go searching for links, however.

Can't say i've ever heard of the brand. The only german-made knife i've got is a linder dagger with a pearlex handle, pretty good for what i paid for it, so i guess that speaks well for german knifemaking?

They came in yesterday and they are bloody AWESOME. I haven't been this excited about a knife since I got my first shipment of switchblades, and ordered another dozen first thing this morning.
The quality is top-shelf, the price approaches giveaway level, and they come in nice metal gift boxes, ideal for holiday gift-giving.
The Elshiwitz's (sp?) are cryo-hardened, BTW.

I gotta crow about these knives some more--they are bloody awesome. I sold about a dozen of them at the recent bazaar--NEVER had a high-end knife sell so well.
One guy came in, bought an Elishewitz for his boss ($139.95 list, my price $59.95), came in a few hours later and bought one for himself.

You write the word 'bloody' in your post?
Next you will be using 'mate', 'g'day', 'fair dinkum' and 'struth'.
And you don't ship to us?
For shame, for shame.

Sorry, mate. Thing is, the Eickhorns are illegal in the UK, but I am an Anglophile--English major in college, went to England on my honeymoon in 1969.
Stayed at a hotel on Russel Square, shopped on King's Row and Carnaby Street, went to Stonehenge tripping. . . . . .

I'm Australian! I wash/bathe, I am not English!
If I could get customs approval, and paid for all shipping costs, what would be the consideration then?

Eickhorn Slim-cut Liner Lock Knife is legal for import. Just use that special tool it comes with so it can't be grav opened. Make sure to supply the tool.
Looks like a pretty utility knife. Wouldn't want to confront a bad guy with it, though if it stabs I suppose it shall do!
