But industry, who by and large fund most scientists, can surely produce theories as to why our global temperatures are rising, that has nothing to do with the emissions of the aforementioned industry. It would clearly be economically prudent for them to do so.

Obama re-entering into the Kyoto protocol with 190 other countries and promising to have taxes on carbon emissions to help reduce them, does not spell economic suicide.

The popular vote clearly matters to him, and many others who feel that electing a president without it represents a failure of the electoral system. Many feel it flys in the face of what we hold to be a free democratic election.

You can argue your opinion of whether or not the electoral system should trump the popular vote, but what you cannot do is say it doesn't matter, b/c to him and many, many, many others, it clearly matters.
