I have been thinking about moving to australia for the past 2 years I think its much better then the states by leaps and bounds, I mean its not like its a heat of the moment thing I have been there 3 times in the last 2 years. I have settled on the gold coast area.

I applied for my working holiday visa 2 weeks ago. If I cant find a decent job I do have money saved up from a inheritance.

So my question is how hard do you guys think it will be for me to find a good job & apartment in the first month or two.

Apartment on the gold coast is probably gonna cost you an arm and a leg, and houses arent much cheaper. Basically the gold coast is a poor idea, unless you can do something in hospitality such as cook, make/pour drinks, etc.

Good site to help you find a job. Search closer to the date. Just make sure you have a decent looking resume, maybe find a family friend who owns a business and use him as a reference, etc.

Houses over here(in western australia) are on average $400/week, but im not so sure on the rest of the country

my career (www.mycareer.com.au)

job search (government run website, worth a look) (www.jobsearch.gov.au)

I can't really give you advice unless you ever decide to live in Melbourne. I am very Melbourne bias, it is the best all round city in Aus :)

^ Bullshit!!(:))

Perth is the best. Atleast we dont have 14degree days in the middle of fucking summer(christmas day 2 years ago i think). Also we dont have beaches full of needles and glass....

lol granted. But instead of needles you have sharks. :)

But I have heard the property value has gone up in Perth so lots of the lower class people sold out and left, making it better.

You have more abbos, we have more wogs.

We have arts, culture, fine food and a night scene.

You have warmth, beaches, great surf and a booming mining industry.
