I have never really watched anime or been really into it at all... The only anime i've ever seen is dragon ball z.... which i know some hardcore anime watchers have mixed feelings about.... thats beside the point.


Basically Anime seems pretty cool I dont really know of any genre's or what type of anime would really interest me....

But i do know i wouldnt really like anything similar to DBZ or anything childish....

I am just lookin to try it out soo if anyone out there could recommend me something I
could try to download and check out the hype

Try Bleach, Naruto for the DBZ kind of theme. Lots of action but not overdone like in DBZ, like destroying planets with a palmthrust kind of action, thats just way over the top.

Higurashi no naku koro ni, if you like psyched up cruelty :D Or Elven Lied.

Bartender (no...), Monster (kinda good but I find it lame), Baccano (may watch eventually), and Haibane Renmei, oh and a few of those 80's star ones.. like Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes is GOOD in that they have AWESOME space fleet battles AT LEAST. Also a lot of politics and history. The creators go into real small/slow details, arguably past the point of annoyance for some (it did for me at times when it seemed slow)

Yeah mean I'll end up watching it eventually, but just those 'space epics' were never my cup of tea exactly and I kind of drag my feet before I start a series in the genre.

found it while trying to find out which episode of pokemon has mewtwo actually appears in, not just the two movies. it was episode 63 or something, and he isn't named, ever.

Technically there can be mechs in space opera. The main difference between Space Opera vs "hard" Sci-Fi is there is not a heavy reliance on scientific principles (e.g. lightspeed) and it tends to deal with galactic civilizations, or at least pretty big..

Yea, server went apeshit or something. Image traffic seems to have declined alot in the last couple months. All I want for Christmas is a season 3. :(
