Say a group of two teens have been beer running for 4 days in a row.

They have made off with

-2 12 packs
-3 24 packs
-1 30 pack
-4 bottles of wine

from 8 stores in a 2 mile radius.. all about 10 miles from their homes on the other side of town.

Is there a good chance at least 1 store will report the robbery? There is footage of one guys face on each store's camera and certainly the footage of the license plate as well. Are people liable to let the theft of, on average, 24 beers from there stores slide?

I wouldn't count on it.

How on earth could we know if a shop is going to report a crime? IATL isn't about that. Get back when you actually get caught, then we might be able to provide you with information.

It depends, but I'd give you 19-1 odds (about 95%) that at least one store will report it...and 9-1 odds (90%) that 2 or more stores report it. Good luck.

I got in trouble for taking 5 beers from a place once, they got my phone number and everything just from getting my face off of hidden cameras, if you took that many and they have your license plate I'd say you're fucked, unless every store you stole from is chill as fuck in which case you're very lucky. Your best bet is to make sure whoever was driving doesn't rat you out, they'll come to him first.

Do they know the beer was stolen?

If not then they may not find out until the next time they do inventory and by then reviewing the tapes wouldn't be worth it.
