I'm starting to hate certain aspects of my car. I drive a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix with a nice sound system, tinted windows, and custom wheels. However, for the last couple of months, I've had to fix something moderate on it every week to three weeks. Just a week ago it was the water pump, before that it was the fuel pump...the car is comfortable and up until the last few months was extremely reliable. God damnit I hate having to get shit fixed so often! :(

I don't have the money to keep getting things fixed all the time or to buy another car...so, yeah...

Heh. I had the same thing happen to me. My car was a 1996 Dodge Neon and BOY talk about a piece of shit.

Things just insisted on being broken so I said fuck it, and sold it. I lost money on it too.

If I am ever to get a car again I will definitely go for a brand new one. It might be expensive in the beginning but I think in the long term you save money.

late 90's gm cars are money pits, especially after the 100,000 mile range...

Thank you for informing me of this because I've been contemplating the purchase of a '97 Cavalier with 110k on it.

It was $950.

A 97 Cavalier for $950 eh? Damn sounds like a pretty good deal. Hey man did you hear about that guy that was targeted and killed by gay bashers in his 97 Cavalier?

bckpckr: i had one, i'd advise you to keep looking. get a grand am at least. the only good thing i have to say about cavaliers [i had one, 97 too] is that they got good gas mileage, and would always run. expect to have to replace something soon though.

That's the thing. It's not a money pit. It has 215,000 miles on it now and I bought it a couple of years ago with 150,000 miles on it. Up until the last month or so, it's only needed a few normal repairs. I'm just pissed that now a bunch of shit is going fucking haywire within the same general timeframe. It's been an excellent car and I'd buy another just like this one if I get another. And, for the record, a used car with a good price is a MUCH better deal than a new car...no offense...even all the money I've put into this car now doesn't come CLOSE to what a new car costs. I paid only $3100 for the car and less than that for the maintenance and repairs I've done. I'll take a good used car for that any day! :p

Only faggots like to drive.

You know Sparky, it is asshole posts like this that give nooBs a bad name. I mean really--pretty much everyone over the age of 16 drives, and many of us have to. Even my sweety, who is mostly homebound due to ill health, put about 1,000 miles on her 1987 Subie wagon last year. Why not enjoy something you have to do anyway?

As a rule, I ignore most moronic posts because there are simply so fucking many of them. This one--due to it's stupefying ineptitude, monumental ignorance, and pointless mean-spiritedness, impelled me to reply.

Now comes the part where he thinks he'll be original by calling you an old lame fuck or something of the sort.
