1. The beginning battle of Saving Private Ryan, which I consider to be the most epic twenty minutes in film. Period. I also love the bit in the final battle where I think it was Upham who kills the German they had earlier set free.

3. The scene in Contact where the scientists first catch wind of the extraterrestrial transmission. Also, where Jodie Foster meets the extraterrestrial which took the form of her father.

In the first part of drugstore cowboy when matt dillon describes the "opiate experience". In my opinion the most accurate description of an opiate/opioid experience.

In Shawshank Redemption, pretty much the whole movie but every moment after Red gets released is such a great payoff.

In the documentaey Super High Me, when the DEA is busting a medical marijuana dispensary and some random protester screams "Go bust a meth lab you pussies!"

In Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, during and argument with jean gerade (or however you spell it) Ricky Bobby says: "to quote the late great Colonel Sanders: 'I'm too drunk to taste this chicken.'"

The whole flash back scene in reservoir dogs when Mr. Orange rehearses the story about selling weed during a drought.

And plenty more I can't think of now.

though my favorite scene is actually from the battlestar galactica series, one episode where starbuck collides her ship into apollo's and steers it into the flight deck. that was pretty awesome

Fearless: When he starts to put his violent past behind him, and he's in the field just taking in the gentle breeze.

The Last Samurai: When Katsumoto asks "What happened to the warriors at Thermopylae?" - "Dead to the last man", then they know they're about to run to their deaths. Also when all the soldiers stop firing at the end, and the general tells them to keep shooting yet they stop.
