Not sure if this is the correct forum, but since it's weapon related I figure I'd receive the best answers here. I live in Canada, where brass knuckles are, of course, illegal. Yet this website (http://www.brassknucklescompany.com/CRE/brass-knuckles-p-233.html) that Im looking at states that they ship world wide. Under the help section they have this note

It is the customer’s responsibility to clear their shipments through customs. We can not keep track of the ever changing customs policies of the many countries we serve. Also, it is the responsibility of the customer to verify and comply with the laws and regulations that are applicable to his or her jurisdiction. All interstate orders are shipped FOB and ownership is transferred to the customer once the order is left at the buyer’s requested shipper. The buyer assumes all responsibility for importing his/her order into his/her state/country. shipping and returns (http://www.brassknucklescompany.com/CRE/shipping-returns-i-2.html)

So if I order one pair, what is the likelihood of it getting into Canada?

Any help is much appreciated, apologies in advance if this isn't the correct forum - feel free to move wherever you see fit.

If it's illegal where you live chances are that customs will grab them on the way in and either send you a letter saying they have took them or send cops to your door asking why you ordered them.

I want to commend you on the politeness of your post. Normally we try and shy away from the illegal, but the customs won't have a reason to confiscate your purchase unless it's marked something like brass knuckle paperweight. What would the item be marked as during shipping?

RL: Word, W&C is one of the few areas of &T relatively untouched trolls and idiocy. I know you guys work to keep it that way.

I'm thinking that I'll only order one pair pair in hopes of it getting through. I'm not sure how they package/label it. Thinking about just shooting them an email to see how they do it. People seem to get a hold of them here somehow. Legally, do companies have to declare what the item is when they ship it internationally?

Yes, but if it's marked something like "paperweight" that should be innocuous enough to keep prying eyes away. Most of the time labels are pretty vague, as ink costs money ; -).

Ok so here's what happened to me, I order a couple of cans of OC online because it was something like $10/can in the US vs $50+ here. When i recieved them in the mail it was marked as "Drill Bits" and wasn't opened by customs, however about 2-3 weeks later i have cops rock up to my door at like 9:30pm the night before i was ment to fly out, asking me all this shit about OC and told me to hand them over. The place i brought it from sent a letter or whatever to customs saying they sent two cans of OC to me (Fuck knows why since they marked them as drill bits to begin with) and they contacted police.

Have you got any friends who know their way around a metal work shop? might be easier and possibly cheaper to get some made ;) .

Brassies are easy to make. Print a template off the internet, glue it to some 6mm mild steel, scribe, nail punch, drill, oxy cut, file/grind, paint, done!

Oh yeah, and the savage, you can get pepper spray for $30-$50 local, and that was without even looking hard, and going to the most over priced joint I could find. I know you can get a 3 pack for about $20-$30 if you look.
