Unique?

I would saw Vai. I heard a Roth song the other day; i've never heard his solo stuff with Vai as his guitarist, and i immediately knew it was Vai playing.
"OMGZ VAYE ON TEH RADI0 AIRZ" i murmured.

His style is so identifiable, that it qualifies as unique.

Furthermore i would say Dime, and Buckethead. Also Zakk Wylde as his style of chicken pickin' patterns are immediately identifiable as a 'Wylde lick', which constitutes for something more unique than most.

He did legato stuff? Everything he plays is drowned out by that godfuckingdamn horrid tone. He had some alright riffs early on though, in the 80's stuff.

Well, early on, on Cowboys from Hell, suhc songs like primal concrete sledge and Domination.

I like his abrasive tone.

I think the guy from My Bloody Valentine is badass, he pretty much created shoegazing.

And I think Scott Hull from pig destroyer is one of my favorite metal guitarist.

Superheroes is the greatest song ever, but Gilbert's not much more than fast strumming and pentatonic scales.

Dick Dale.
