Though I now mods other forums, my home is still BLTC. True, after all these years I do get tired of some of the same shit over and over and over [and over and over....]. But I stick around because I still have something I can teach the people about drugs. Why not learn from my mistakes and things I did right?

It's also nice to know that I have saved lives - and I mean this in the most literal way. There have been a few times where I have received emails from people who said that something I told them I saved their life, one who ended up going to the ER because of what I said who was told by the Dr that had he not come in he would have died.

Things like that is why I stay. If it were only about SG or HB or B&M, I would have been long gone.

I stopped selling swords--one local gunshow doesn't allow sword sales, and they tend to be not worth the bother of carting them aorund. I still have a naginata, a sword cane, and a couple of tonfas in stock, but mostly I sell folding knives, hunters, and skinners.

Usually swords can go USPS, but the biggies go UPS oversize.

It always amuses me when certain teeny boppers on this planet are so aghast that people over 30 actually stiff have fun. It gives me a chuckle and such a bleak outlook on the next generation at the same time. I just don't understand how kids can get out of bed and actually look forward to getting older if they have this idea that there is no fun in their future.

I sometimes hear comments like this when toking with people from the younger set ("wow, you get high? OmGz"), or am online on the Playstation Network while video gaming. Usually some butthurt kidiot is trying to trade smack with me (of course that is just as futile as it is on here) while I'm kicking their ass at COD4 or Madden or whatever.....and then when they have nothing else left to say it comes out..."Geez man, you sound so OLD! What is someone your age still playing video games for???//?/?"

Its comical. Like at what point do you kids think people are supposed to stop having fun? Most importantly, exactly what the fuck do YOUR parents do for entertainment? Are you really under some belief that once you hit 30 its now a lifetime sentence of reading the Wall Street Journal and whittling wood? Or is this what the current generation believes the meaning of life is because of the conditioning and indoctrination that is forcefed down your throats? A constant pursuit of material consumerism, but never taking the time to enjoy all the goodies from those pursuits?

Really and truly, why do some kids think that an older age equals LESSER fun? It's so profoundly stupid..... because having more years, more experience, more wisdom and more of a bankroll we are having much much more fun than everyone else. I guess I could end this post by just saying...."Grow up", but in some of you teen's perceptions that is equivalent to saying "drop dead" since you think it is some kind of eulogy on your entertainment and fun in this world.

I'd also like to add that kids these days have a very poor idea of having fun altogether. Take away their Internets and they will suicide. What happened to going outside and getting baked on a bench at the park? When I was a kid, video games and computers were only interesting when no friends were available and I had really nothing else to do. It's like kids these days are afraid to go outside. Even to an arcade. And drugs r bad, maky...

Kamisama is right, I just like younger people.

They're far more interesting than middle-agers. They have the uncanny ability to insult, slander, finger-point and mock others, which has a valuable, cathartic effect on both the accuser and the recipient. This cathartic effect has probably not been adequately defined, nor appreciated, by any real-world psychiatric journals to date. (Which is why psychiatry fails, in my humble opinion)

They don't ignore the mean streaks they have festering inside them, they exercise it. They don't cover up their anger in lieu of being congenial and appropriate. They more quickly say what they think, and don't tire themselves out trying to over-analyze the feelings and emotions that manifest erratic behavior; they embrace it, and run with it. The reaction they seek from their elders is of the most vile sort: shock, disgust, anger, and fear. They're not quite to the point of craving acceptance and praise from society, because they haven't yet worked out in their young minds what society truly expects of them.

Their egocentric bravado, false sense of certainty and the belief that they can effect change on a world that has remained changeless for quite some time now makes them true heroes in my book. They've yet to fall into a set routine, have yet to become hardwired into complete cynicism, and haven't yet felt the pangs of recollection that comes when you're old enough to admit that you knew more as a child than you ever will as a full-fledged adult.

In short, their brains and personalities are far more fluid and malleable than our own. They aren't yet shackled by the expectations society has on them. They haven't yet crossed the threshold into full-blown maturity and responsibility, and that alone affords them the freedom of acting on all the personalities they can draw upon at a whim without fear of ridicule or repercussion.

They're expected to wade through the disappointment life doles out with a blissful ignorance that most adults can no longer draw upon, because these adults have already graduated from being the wide-eyed explorers, the naive experimenters, the pliable personality-morphers. The adults are no longer free to act out, embrace absurdity and fight tooth and nail the very establishment that plans on sucking them into the black hole of redundancy, routine and the rigmarole of thinking with complete certainty that the sum of your life experiences is all you can ever hope to define yourself by.

Inserting myself into this pool of youngsters injects the vitality, apathy and general sense of humor that it takes to thumb my nose at maturity most of the time, while still being able to play the role of Responsible Adult in the areas of my life that require it, such as self-sufficiency and keeping one's head above water so as not to slip into poverty or co-dependence on others.

Besides that, it's kind of fun, in a cruel and unusual fashion, to watch you all stumble blindly through life while kidding yourselves into believing that all the hopes, dreams and aspirations you have today will follow you into the dull rigors of the inevitable stage of Full Maturity you'll find yourselves in after many more tomorrows.

I hope you all can regress backwards like I have once you've crossed over into adulthood. I can assure you that it's the only remedy that will keep you from turning into your parents someday.
