so i can hear the radio through my speakers right now.

they're connected to my computer and im not listening to internet radio or anything

it is very soft, and turning up the volume from my amplifier doesn't raise the volume.

it also comes and goes every 10 seconds or so.

strange.

how can this be?

edit:

nvm, i googled it, and it's from cheap unshielded/grounded speakers/wire.

except my speakres are home theatre ones :S

Which doesn't mean they didn't use cheap wiring, or that the lousy shielding is in another part of the chain there...

Wouldn't it be simpler to use a radio?

Are they those cheap Durabrand 5piece speakers?

I have a set and the left front one picks up a faint radio signal. Not sure what station though lol. Most of the time I can't even hear it.

OK then. There are coils inside that would make this happen - If you want to be REALLY annoyed ......Dial your cell phone and let it ring near one of the speakers...it should make a small buzz ......
